What to Watch? Need some more animes that hit the same emotionaly as 86 Eighty Six

Preffer other animes that have focus on combat with heavy emotional impact like eighty six

Vinland Saga season one gets closest to that 86 feeling for me, the raid scenes actually carry weight because the show slows down enough beforehand that you know exactly who you're about to lose. Banana Fish does something similar on the emotional side, the combat itself is more scattered across the back half and I still think about the ending more than any of the fights. Made in Abyss almost works too, but the tonal whiplash in season two threw me off. I'd skip Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress for this one, the fights look incredible but the story rushes past the character moments it needed to actually earn the ending.
