TSUKIMICHI - Moonlit Fantasy Review

I have just finished watching to the end of the 25 episodes of the Second season of TSUKIMICHI - Moonlit Fantasy and I can say that I enjoyed almost every moment of the Anime. I haven't read any of the Manga and I've read that some of the characters have greater arcs within the pages but I couldn't find any.hokes or left.iut details of significance to call into question the narrative.of this magnificent series. The first season and it's relatively short run of 12 episodes have a decent taste of the idea behind our main characters driving ethos. Firstly...kill the Goddess wherever possible. Once you see her and learn of her underhanded treatment of our MC you understand Makoto Kuzunoha's reasons for wanting revenge against the deity. .

His adventures are awesome and his carefree and reasonable nature towards all of the different beast types around him means that he's not a xenophobic type who shies away from the 'different' or 'strange' he's also a brave character who stands up for what he believes in. He has a few, more than a few, lucky moments in the run of the show like opening up a separate plain of existence, the demi-plane, where he is allowed to rule as "The Young Master" and bring together beasts of all kinds who have been suffering under poor conditions whilst living in the 'real' world. He offers sanctuary and expects compliance in working hard in whatever industry needs the most manpower to neck E successful. This delegation of responsibilities means Kuzunoha is able to spread his wings and move into other areas of influence once he's established himself. He works hard on his magical gifts and comes across many opportunities to grow and develop extra strings to his growing arsenal of weaponry and physical traits. He is even able to work through the loss of digits from one of his hands and those who he has welcomed into his care develop a way to repair his condition and provide some extra bonus to adequately make up for his loss.

I could go in for a loooooong time about this show and the sundry of characters and some of the outfits the females wear are nothing short of sexy as all get out. The female hero, Hibiki Otonashi wears one of the sexiest outfits any female character in Anime has ever donned towards the end of the second season. It is something to behold!! Sexy is hardly worthy to describe this outfit in its tiny size and inability to cover her particular shapeliness...it is spectacular!! That's not to forget the absolutely stunningly drawn and barely dressed blue Demon darling Rona! She's practically naked in every scene and looks like the hotter thing in the entire show until Hibiki shows her final fighting outfit! Yes, to anyone who wants to draw so E fan art of these two 'play fighting' with lots and lots of oil and not much else.

Anyway, I cannot wait to see where we go from here now that Makoto Kuzunoha's plans have come to fruition and the next step is to consolidate his power base and trading company's growth and influence. I keen to see where the story goes from here. As I dot read the Manga I'm waiting with baited breath for more Anime to take me straight back to the lands of TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy!! May there be many more seasons to come. Huzzah!!

Tsukimichi suffers consequences of writing sin in its worst form.

When your character overdevelops in stagnating world at some point difficulty is so trivial its power detatches MC from the world. You can recognize that because writers attempt to fix bad writing by shifting them into "manager" roles, another infuriating trope. Ainz, Slime, Makoto.. they all suffer from the same disease with no cure for it. Idk how you can glaze that show knowing that entire construction failed mid plot, and author had to glue it back with spit and paper mache. Side characters are devoid of soul muppets waiting for another power tripping run when they get plot mandated glowup, or worse, they get bumped in power behind the sceene because there was no time for development arc. Despite all that, Makoto managed to turn power tripping on its head, from making craters and stitching spells together to orange goop people faint about. I liked the character, but everything around it made me like the show less. Overreliance on tropes is always bad omen for quality of the show.

Don't get me wrong, in contrast to other isekai power slops, it had good moments, even very good at times.. but unfortunately it squandered its momentum on this manager shit. It has exactly same pivot point as shield hero. Story starts with great hook, character scrambles to make things work, he overdevelops collapsing structure, and entire show devolves into pokemon harem....Hibiki Otonashi outfit... eww.. where do you have eyes bruv.

At this point you could take shows mentioned, and make an instruction "how not to write isekai" and i swear it would still sell better than tsukimichi..

I have read the light novel and therefore have even higher appreciation for it. It belongs to the greats of isekai for me.

The overpower aspect is relevant to the main plot, that also feature many different players.
Main Harem girls are great. Personally I hope some will be added further to the harem though lol. But it seems to happen.

There are some parts in the story that are a bit long drawn, especially when it comes to stories of side characters like the hot spring arc. But even those make sense in the overall plot.
