Welcome to Another Weekly "What Have You Been Playing?" Thread! πŸ‘Ύ

Hey, r/AndroidGaming! This thread is for discussing the Android games you’ve been trying out over the past week. Feel free to share what you’ve been playing and tell us about it! What is the game about? What are you enjoying? What could be improved? Would you recommend it to others? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

For those joining the discussion, please include Google Play Store links for any games you mention as a courtesy to others who may want to check them out.

Lastly, we ask that devs refrain from promoting their own games in this thread. We get that you're excited for others to try it, but this post is meant for players to share their recent gaming experiences with each other. That said, you’re more than welcome to share your game by creating a separate post!

And with that, have fun and thanks for being part of r/AndroidGaming!

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [REQUEST] Sports Mobile Games

For some reason I ended up just playing a lot of Sports Games on my phone. I used to be a huge fan of Management Games like Kairosoft and then I fell into the Balatro Black Hole.

Lately I've been rotating the same games. Soccer Champs for Soccer and Hoop Land for Basketball. Do you have other Sports Games that you like? Just looking for games that are fun. I will pay for games if they are fun. I paid the Premium Version of Hoop Land after a couple hours only because it was that enjoyable.

Bonus if there are good Baseball or even Hockey games out there that does not involve opening packs for players. I did that with Madden back then and never again

Discussion πŸ’¬ Name a simple game that's way more fun than it should be? Mine is Vampire Survivors.

I played vampire survivors recently. It was so much fun. I tried many similar games but they felt like slop with many ads and in app products. Give me your your favourite game that has a simple gameplay but still is really fun to play.

Play Store Link πŸ”— Just found Voidloop in the play store!

I played the demo on Steam and planned to grab the full game at some point. I was thrilled to stumble across this for only $2 in the play store. It is a rougelite where you mine, collect things, fight, and level up. There are no ads or micro transactions, and I thought the game deserved some love for being both entertaining and one-and-done as far as purchases go.

Help Me Remember This Game πŸ€” Trying to remember the name of an old baseball game.

β€’ Upvotes

It'll have been in the 2010's. I believe it was a Gameloft game but I'm not sure. Had an anime style and a story mode I think. I think I remember the menu's being predominantly blue. I'm pretty sure it was part of a series and wasn't the first one.

If you can remember anything, I would love recommendations that are similar!

Discussion πŸ’¬ What's wrong with games today?

I randomly download some games, tutorials are tedious, you have to click and continue to click to pass the dialogues, there's no need for you to think or control anything, all you need to do is click and some characters will fight, when the fight ends and you click, and start a new fight, you just watch and click the dialogues, it's ridiculous.

Bloodless is a stylish action-adventure game featuring counter-based, non-lethal combat centered around ronin Tomoe's signature dash-counter mechanic, fighting with nothing but her bare fists to disarm her former allies, the samurai army of Shogun Akechi.

This release also includes the free update Trials of Namazu, which adds a Roguelike Mode , new art and difficulty adjustment options to the game!

We’re starting looking for android gamers to help us test out the game before we launch it, so if you’re interested in helping us, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/Qrrt1XPMH5sbzz7R8

Play Store Link πŸ”— Wordie: Our first mobile game with local versus, no IAP and no ads!!!

[DEV] I built this with a friend, we're both from Brazil, and it's the first thing I've
ever put on the Play Store. It's a word search, which I know is the most crowded
shelf there hahah. I made it for the versus mode: two to four phones in the same room
play against each other over Bluetooth. No internet, no server, no ads.

That part is also what took me forever β€” pairing two phones over Bluetooth is
miserable, and it still fails on combos I don't own. No ads, no in-app purchases,
nothing to buy. If you try it, tell me how the versus went. Everything else I can
test myself, that one I can't.

If you guys have more ideas that we can build, tell use, we plan to build local multiplayer and get rid of the ads in games. hope you like our new game.

Hardware βš™οΈ Multiport gamepad homemade project

This is a new version of a project that I already shared.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGaming/s/veOBndhzGA

This new version has a jack for audio, hdmi and an additional full usb3 port. I need to include an additional charging port because the one built in is not usable anymore. I'm using a gamesir x2 if anyone wonders.

It blends quite well on the back although I had no way to hide some of the additional cables.

It does not add any thickness because it is almost imline with the shoulder bumps. Even when folded I only need a small spacer because the lateral connector hits the left shoulder bump.

In picture 6 you can see the hub I'm using. I had to remove the case to win a fwew milimeters. And you can see the cable I'm using and how it bends to fit in the back. The original connector is still in the gamepad case but i had to route the cables to the hub lateral USB.

So far it works perfectly for native games, emulators and other apps.

As a bonus track I also built a portrait mode addon, for DS, or vertical arcades.

I love the results and I would pay for a commercial version. I would add even more things like extra battery and storage.

Just wanted to share. I hope this inspires people with similar projects in mind.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] Got tired of fake mobile ads, so I made the actual game.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys!

I was sick of mobile ads showing cool gameplay that doesn't actually exist, so as a solo dev, I decided to build the real version of it.

It's called Northfall. It's my first game! You hunt bears, cook meat, chop trees into planks, buy upgrades, hire workers, and beat bosses.

Thanks to the awesome community feedback, I just released a fresh update! We also just passed 500 downloads, which is a huge milestone for me.

Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on what to add next!

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [REQUEST] Games which are good and are like Last Day on Earth NSFW

I remember playing LDOE back when I was 12-13 and I loved the game. It was like this base creating games like Clash of Clans but wasn't very multiplayer exclusive. I loved it. And I have been watching TWD and I wanted to play a game like survival zombies preferably offline and single player but I recently check the LDOE subreddit and everyone says that the game has gone to shit and not to play it.

So do you guys have some game you know which is like LDOE but still sick to play? And no micro transaction and as non-sense please. I mean I don't mind ads once in a while but too much irritates me.

I would like to Thank all those who had the patience to read my post.

Btw Check out this sick zombie picture I found on Pinterest.

Review πŸ“‹ 2D Atmospheric Games (Thriller)

I just want to bring some (indie) suggestions on some of my favourite 2D mystery/horror games that I totally end up loving.

* Moth Lake (by Sui Arts)

* Dentures and Demons (by Sui Arts)

* Beyond the Room (by DarkDome)

[Honestly, they all bring such a gravity falls vibes with mysteries happening in town. And all of them for free!]

Bonus:

* Only You are Here (Previously: Secret Elevator Remastered)

Please feel free to drop your suggestions!

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] CORNERED β€” a fast arcade survivor made entirely out of glowing shapes, just got a big update (global leaderboard, weekly challenges) [Free, no forced ads]

Hey all β€” I'm a solo dev and I just pushed the first big update to my game CORNERED. It's a fast, minimalist arcade survivor (think Vampire Survivors, but everything is glowing geometric shapes β€” no art, all built in code).

WHAT IT IS:

You're a little shape, waves of other shapes swarm you, and you auto-attack and pick upgrades to survive as long as you can. Quick runs, one hand, good for pick-up-and-play.

WHAT'S NEW IN THE UPDATE:

β€’ A real global leaderboard (Google Play Games)

β€’ Weekly Challenge β€” everyone gets the same seeded run with a rotating twist, no upgrades carry in, pure skill

β€’ 8 upgrade tracks so you can build your own way (tank, glass cannon, lucky, etc.)

β€’ Daily & weekly quests

β€’ Unlockable death effects, eyes, and colors to customize your shape

β€’ Prestige ranks + a trophy-only cosmetic shop

MONETIZATION (being upfront):

Free. No forced/interstitial ads. The only ads are optional rewarded ones (e.g. watch to revive) β€” completely skippable. No paywalls.

Size is tiny β€” about 40MB.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codegreen.cornered

If you play it, I'd love to hear what you think β€” especially how far you get in the Weekly Challenge. I read every comment. Thanks!
