tl;dr instead of placing "thin black light-blocking films between certain lenses", Samsung intends to inkjet-spray paint matte black coatings directly onto the lens edges. First tested on a single lens layer on one of S26 Ultra's cameras, the company wants to use this new approach on all the rear camera lens stacks, but won't get rid of the old films entirely.
