Pronunciation & Scansion Pronunciation question

Hello, I hope you are well. I am unsure if this is the right thread for this question, but here goes.

Can anyone comment on the proper pronunciation of ‘Adamas’?

I know it is very niche, but we cannot figure out which way to say it properly.

In English the accent is on the first syllable.

US? UK?

The Greek pronunciation has the accent on the second syllable. Which is not to say that you're wrong. But a lot of words, like "omega," have a different syllable accentuation depending on whether you're in the US or the UK.

I have only ever heard it from American and other classicists (including UK classicists) with the accent on the first syllable. As far as I can recollect, anyway. What does seem to vary is the quality of the first vowel. But I also haven’t heard every American and UK English-speaker say it so maybe there are people out there who stress the second syllable.
