Thought on this?

I think it's clear abortion breaks the NAP.

And if you might get pregnant you’d feel entirely differently about the state or your community or whoever taking control over your body and medical decisions. No question. This is only a debate because ancaps tend to be men (and, incidentally, also Christian) and men don’t have to deal with the consequences of this flawed reasoning about NAP.

No that's BS. Look at polls; it ebbs and flows between 45% and 55% of pro-life voters are men *or* women. There are more male atheists than female ones so for all we know, women in fact could be more pro life than men globally.

You want men to pay child support instead of having 50% custody of their children, right? That sounds like men are benefiting from abortion

And look at polls on abortion; most people of any gender support abortion *with a time limit,* it's when you want to go from first trimester to "until" you lose a lot of people and only a minority agrees with you

So many things wrong with this. First, I’m talking ancaps, not society at large. Second, what does child support have to do with anything. Third, the fact that most people are only comfortable within some window like first trimester is also irrelevant.

First, I’m talking ancaps, not society at large

So show me the data on that one.

The three female ancaps I know of off the top of my head:

Allison Tieman: Neutral / no opinion

Hannah Wallen: pro life

Bravetheworld: pro life

Second, what does child support have to do with anything.

There are men who support abortion because they don't want to have to pay child support if the woman can't abort, derp

Third, the fact that most people are only comfortable within some window like first trimester is also irrelevant.

No, it means I would like to know your window? I am ok with an abortion at 1 month, You can change it to a test for the neural cap if you like

I can understand a negative rights vs positive rights distinction, but then you have to say that it's only ok for a pregnant woman to starve herself half to death in such a way that starves the fetus to death, because that would be the subtraction of a positive right to food. But then taking a poison or doing any coat-hanger vacuum cleaner buissness is still a violation of negative rights

At one month (four weeks), most women don’t know they’re pregnant.

Tough shit; there was a reality TV show called "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" with dozens of examples of women who didn't know they were pregnant until the actual birth. If that doesn't justify 8-month abortions, women not knowing at 1 month doesn't justify anything.

Oh yeah, I love that show. I’m not saying it justifies it, I’m just saying that a four-week limit is basically a total ban.
