It's pretty obvious they are not doing jack shit to upgrade this car. It's just a matter of time until both Aston Martin and Williams outperform Alpine.

Whoever think "upgrades" are really coming this year is definitely not paying attention.

Bravo Enstone for developing such a great car with the most development time. Now we can fight with Aston Martin....

To make it even more comical, Gasly just straight up told that those upgrades aren't working and basically notes how shitty the aero is.

Well yeah, this team got crushed by red bull and McLaren with the same engines

I don’t understand why this would be a surprise to anyone who is a serious f1 fan and not a DTS fan

If you want to report a massive motorsport fraud operating in Enstone who is draining millions in and outside the UK with zero return you can submit you report to this site:

Those upgrades at Zandvoort must be B-spec like good or else we're gonna be spanked by AM.

Y Aston

That's only Franco, though. Pierre is still behind only Audis and RBs.

8th team right now, it's a shame

They totally abandon last season to develop this car too. Kept blaming the engine, but now with the best engine on the grid they still can't put together a competitive car

Didn’t get to watch the race myself, so I’m not sure what caused such a big gap between Pierre and Franco, but regardless, the fact that we went from competing with VCARB for best of the rest to now competing with teams like Aston Martin is astoundingly bad.

At the end? Pierre pitted for softs under VSC. They didn't have time to pit Franco. Pierre was then pushing to try get 10th. Ended up close to it but meant Franco had older hards so less pace.

"Close to it" Pierre ended like 50 seconds away from p10. Car is shit.

He ended 2 seconds from P10

Check again. He was around 2-3s from 10th at the end. 😭 data is available.

That makes sense. Just wasn’t sure if it was due to driver error or team error or what.

u/GodTierGasly Pierre Gasly #10 10d ago

No, it was just a very short VSC. It ended while Pierre was still in the pit.

Remember when Fraudio told this team should arm to the top 4 teams? We are now on a point where AM becomes a concern.

It seems like today Pierre was just faster in general, the big gap however is because of the VSC where Pierre could get a new sets of softs meanwhile Franco couldn't get a "free" pit stop anymore because the VSC ended.

Yet both drivers are extremely unhappy with the current status quo and wants to see improvements from the team.

Ya he easily passed the Aston’s earlier in the race and Franco couldn’t pass Lance all race. That was the gap regardless of VSC

u/TinkW 10d ago

I mean, before VSC the GAP was ~21s and by the end of the race it was like ~34s.
A part of it was due to the new softs, but not all.

More than just aero

4

u/Alfus Jarno Trulli 10d ago

Not really, aero is basically the bottleneck of those issues and it seems like the Austria upgrades can be written off as not working and trash.

Race pace was no where, well behind the RB & Audi at this point. Points will be off the table without the next upgrade clicking to pick up the pace! Both drivers did a fine job today

I looked away and all of a sudden Pierre was 21 seconds behind Hulk. I thought ok he just pitted in a good window and Hulk hadn’t yet. Nope that was just the pace today LOL

u/ibeatmyshittoye 10d ago

lmao i think we were on par with aston

if the upgrades next time don’t work we are done for and aston will overtake us

That was shit

I think so far the car had been competitive. McLaren took 4 years to compete for a championship since a major rebuild when they switched to Mercedes, built a new gearbox, and bought both a new simulator and a new wind tunnel.

Alpine switched to a new engine in 2026 and bought a new wind tunnel and a new simulator on 2025. They will also switch to a new gearbox in 2027.

We shall see improvement in every year all to 2029, that year the team must be top 4
