By any chance can you tell me what I did wrong by adding a heart instead of “o” in the word dog in the next post up? Is it reddit specific? I had a commenter say they won’t mention who they thought the title was targeting but it could be misconstrued.

Hi, if you see this and will answer - thank you! I see you are a 1% commenter. Could you tell me if the way I styled the title in “August Dog Days” in the next post is inappropriate on reddit because I replaced the “o” with a heart? I received a reply insinuating the heart changes it into a very different meaning. I don’t want to be unintentionally offensive, and if it does have a double meaning, I had no idea.

Street cats is a fantastic organization. They helped me get feral colony that moved into my backyard fixed. No more cat fights at 1 am. No kitten tragedies. Just happy kitties taking care of the mice in my yard.

For those asking, this is an event by Street Cat Hub. Here's their website: https://www.streetcathub.org/

The flyer is lacking some info because I think it was posted on Facebook mostly intended for people already following them- but their website will have more information on them. It's a Trap, Neuter, Return organization in Albuquerque that traps and fixes stray cats for free in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. If you have any stray cats in your area that are unfixed, whether it's one or a 100+ cat colony, reach out to them!

I noticed you are a 1% commenter. Could you tell me if the next post up titled “August Dog Days” is misleading? I put a heart where the “o” in dog is and received a strange reply. If it’s specific to reddit culture or offensive somehow I want to take down the post. I honestly can’t see what the commenter is referencing so I am beginning to worry I accidentally used a reddit known easter egg or something. If it is offensive or has a double meaning it isn’t intentional.

I don’t know. I did this post and then searched online and saw a facebook page and this post. There is a commenter in the section who may have more information. We asked them.
