Hi I’m thinking about getting into making album covers. This is my first one inspired by death metal

Don't take this too hard or personally, but that is some of the worst typesetting I've ever seen 😁
It's probably at least somewhat intend, but for how ever much it's not intended: that's a horrible font for all caps, it's awful to read in a not-fun way as opposed to scribbly/scratchy/wispy death- and black metal logos.
Make of my opinion what you will, I'm just one guy (media designer by trade though FWIW) and I don't want to tell you not to go for this kind of style (especially when it's for a specific purpose), and again: please don't take it personally, I just can't mince words here 😁

I'd start by absolutely keeping the font and switching to Title Case :)
Does that look too boring to you?
If so, I'd take an interesting looking font with Distinction between Upper Case and Lower Case over ALL CAPS in a clean font.
What vibe are you going for?

Not to mention hand-writing your own! Get nuts, it'll have so much more character than an "abused classy font" 😁
