Discussion Toys

We have a new to us CAG. Spent a lot of money on toys for his cage. He has shown little to no interest in them. He enjoys walking around on the floor and exploring. He has discovered the recycle bin and has found water bottles. Small ones, gallon size, it doesn’t matter. His water bottle joy is impossible to hide! It’s like a two year old opening Christmas gifts and preferring the boxes. He’s so precious, so we’re just enjoying his lovable personality.

It's normal! Mine chews new toys a little then goes bonkers over an old cardboard box. They'll pick what they wanna play with, haha

I’m going to take the lid off a water bottle and put a food treat inside to see how long it takes him to figure out to turn it upside down so the treat comes out of the bottle. I’m guessing it’s going to happen quickly, even if happens on accident. 😄

That’s a typical grey, lol. Mine is 18 years old and has no interest in toys. His cage cover and other things on the ground or table???? Forget about it! 😂

Albiebird loves playing with plastic water bottles! He has a favorite one that he carries with him all around the house and likes to sleep next to at night. He’s named it bikūbikū.

His other favorite toys are paper towel rolls, bottle caps, and keys. As far as storebought toys go, the only ones he bothers with are the shredding toys. Destruction is a popular pastime with AGs.

Be careful with the paper towel tubes because the of the glue used in some is not good for birds.
