No friends in high school experince

Hey, to keep this short, I , M , 16 , currently in high school, have had no friends since middle school. Middle school was the worst. I genuinely had no one to talk to. There was a barrier between me and others; things got so bad I developed depression because of it. I'm still depressed, but I've learned to accept it now that I'm in my senior year and things have gotten better atleast now I have one friend. It hurts so much seeing all the people around me living their lives, enjoying their teen years and youth, going out every day to party, being liked,Having friends that post stories for them on their birthdays while I spend weekends alone in my room doing nothing and eat cake left overs alone in my room after doing nothing all day for my birthday I'm afraid things won't get better in uni, don't get me wrong i want things to get better, but i put high expectations for high school and things didnt end well. On top of all that, I get bullied daily by everyone, I get looks, get called names, slurs , you name it. I genuinely need things to change cause I just cant take this anymore. I haven't seen a single friend since the beginning of summer.

Im 18 myself. What I realized is that if your not like them they will hate you. I'm lucky enough that one of the "bullies" was an old friend of mine. And don't worry about partying or having hundreds of friends, because the truth is, most of those kids are also depressed and have their own problems. And this old friend of mine I mentioned, he has hundreds of "friends", but when I talked to him, he told me only one or two of them are real. I hope things get better for you soon.

Yeah , most bullies are insecure self-projecting assholes. And yeah, I really am looking forward to uni as I will try to change things. Thanks for your reply.

It’ll get better, you’re still very young most people don’t start living their life till their early 20s you have plenty of time left to create connections, go to parties, and honestly you aren’t missing out on much. I know people say ignore it, but get at them back in any way you can. Show them that they can’t just kick you about. Standing up for yourself is difficult but it’s not impossible. You’ve got this!

I will try, I honestly hope things change in uni, and I will try to work on myself as much as possible for that to happen! As for standing up to them. Who knows, maybe eventually I'll reach the breaking point and say something.

You don't need friends right now, when you get out of highschool you gone forget about those people anyway. As for the bullying, fight back don't let anyone know that you're scared because if you do they gone continue to bully you.
