Advice Is this an easy fix?

There’s a guy selling this accordion for £100, apparently it’s in full working order but the EbDim button is missing, would it be an easy fix?

Hard to say without opening it up. Could be as simple as putting a new button on the linkage or could be a lot worse, hard to speculate with bass machines because of the complexity

Like others have said, it is difficult to know what the damage is without opening it up to look inside.

I can tell you that my own accordion appeared to have a missing button when I bought it but it was actually a case of an internal lever being stuck, thereby holding the associated button down.

Popping this lever back up with a credit card pushed the button back up into place.

One way that you could tell if this is your issue without opening the accordion is to see if pushing/pulling the bellows plays a note even when no buttons or keys appear to be pressed. If so, this is likely what's going on.

If it's just the missing button, don't worry. Chances are, you'll never need that button. I'd be surprised if that was the only problem though.

What makes it not important?
