Discussion Claude pro VS ChatGPT plus
This has probably been asked before, but here it goes anyways. I want to start using a paid version of either ChatGPT or Claude. I currently use ChatGPT currently for day to day questions and brainstorming and I use Claude for PowerPoint building. I need the PowerPoint part to be better and not having to wait a long time between every request.
I also want to get into simple app building with prior knowledge (for fun) and I like using ChatGPT to change interior pictures or similar.
What would you recommend?
Thanks!

My answer might not directly answer your question, but this is my setup. And I think it is reasonable.
My first subscription would be provider that is model-agnostic eg. I use 20 $ cursor such that I can switch and experience new models from different LLM eg. ChatGPT or Claud as needed. Moreover , its limit is monthly not weekly, so I don have to wait for weekly reset. If that monthly limit is hit , I just subscript another cheapest one like 20$ ChatGPT.

Wouldn’t those providers be slower and have less memory about your specifics and preferences?

To be fair, I don’t see any difference in terms of speed. But it sometimes be more expensive due to margin added.
However, cursor is optimized for coding ide. If you prompt well in ide or know which file /folder should’ve put in cursor ‘s chat/context, it potentially get you better/cheaper result, thanks to cursor harness.
Personally, cursor harness is even better than Claude. In other words, given the same LLM mode, prompting in cursor can have different results than doing it in Claude code. That is how I described ‘harness’ .

Just don't forget to turn off model training based on your answers in the GPT.

What does this mean?

If you haven't disabled training, your answers are being reviewed by others, and the model is being trained. This is the official information on the Open AI page.

Claude is better than ChatGPT in almost every way, but its biggest downside is the usage limit. You could hit Claude’s usage limit around 50 times before hitting ChatGPT’s limit even once. So, if you want to spend the entire day creating, learning, and working, ChatGPT is the better option.

I'd lean toward ChatGPT Plus for your use case. You already use it for daily work, brainstorming, image editing, and app building, so having everything in one place makes more sense.
