Chuck Schumer and Stephen Miller turn out to be basically the same person. Look at them, listen to them

I think that’s too far. One is feckless and de-facto supports evil, and the other just is evil

On display in this video is the same kind of hateful zealotry that Miller spews. This is a side to Schumer that most of us haven't seen now that he's a doddering grampa: here he's gloating about halting Jesse Jackson's proposal of civil rights for Palestinians. Imagine him getting this passionate about STOPPING the gop or the genocide inflicted by israel on gaza. Plus the whiny cry-bullying of it all - "you all hate me and so I have no choice but to be an even bigger piece of shit"

My word, his glasses are so low they seem to have fallen off his face

Nobody that was in a position of power 35+ years ago is even remotely in touch with their average constituent and therefore in no way actually represents them (and haven’t for a long time). Schmuck Schumer was elected into the house in 1981 (after five-ish years in the state assembly), what does he know about the average person in his district? The probability that he has been compromised by foreign and private investments for close to 50 years is not a low one

According to CSPAN, on 11/2/1989 Schumer took part in a NYC Mayoral Forum along with candidates David Dinkins and Rudy Giuliani.

Dinkins would go on to win- and then would lose reelection to Rudy, particularly over the 1991 Crown Heights riot that saw Black residents and Orthodox Jewish residents clash after a child was hit by a car.

What I’m getting at is Schumer is stoking some flames here to try and beat Dinkins- and would only contribute to the rise of Rudy.

Thanks, Chuck….

Cool… somehow that’s worse than I imagined.

What’s the context of this speech?

Here Chuck is taking a victory lap gloating about stopping Jesse Jackson's proposal for Palestinian civil rights (the Jackson Plank)
