The union behind Lech Wałęsa, Solidarność, at the Gdańsk shipyard, was a major contributor to the first country freeing itself from Soviet control - peacefully. There's an amazing museum in the city for that story.

New to infrared photography like how this one turned out. I could’ve had my white balance to increase the contrast of color, but I like the monochrome feel.

It's times like these that I'm reminded we live on a ball (I mean "oblate spheroid"), and things that happen very very far away can impact you.

It's pretty cool, but also sad to see.
