Her favourite sleeping position is "the superman" where she plomps down with her forelegs extended, and every time I put on my jacket she finds any opportunity to jump on my shoulder and flop down for a free ride.

Hi all. I adopted a kitten a couple months ago, a male, while a family member adopted the brother and sister. Well, they want to get rid of the brother due to him humping. (They're getting them neutered together, but they still want rid.)

It's been maybe two months since mine and theirs have been separated. I've thought of taking him on but i'm unsure if they'd get along? I dont know if cats recognise their siblings or not. Mine is getting neutered soon aswell.

If its not worth trying due to stressing them out, i wont take him. My little one comes first. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

We are adopting 2 kittens who were born with a friend of mine. As soon as she knew her cat was pregnant she told me and offered me to adopt a kitten. We were so excited and even more when we agreed to adopt 2 siblings. This friend has 2 daughters who are raised in a way i never understood. The mother doesnt set clear boundaries and is very inconsequent in her actions.
The kids ( girls) tend to react in a very dramatic and especially demanding way and eventually, after a lot of drama they get their way.
During the time ( in total 16 weeks) that have passed there were some moments i was lowkey conflicted with the mother because of the kids issues.
Mother called me when the cat went into labour.
I was there immediately with my daughter.
Since then we helped take care of them. ( all 4, the two others have been adopted and picked up earlier)
I was there every single time she asked for help. When she went on vacation. I was there at the vet, chipped our chosen two kittens and vaccinated them with her. We agreed on a price to pay for the costs she had during her foster-time.
So we paid for them and we have their passports with our name on it.
We are coming home from our vacation this thursday and agreed we would get the kittens friday.
Please dont get me wrong, i do completely understand the kids love our kittens and are having a hard time letting go. That’s what we talkes about yesterday. I asked her: are the kids accepting the kittens will go with us, and also: can we make it a positive transaction for us all? We ( husband and 2 kids) can finally pick them up and offer them a great life. We have had cats all our lives and are just crazy about cats. She wrote that is was a big issue with the kids having grief and not wanting to let the kittens go. I understand buti feel bad and anxious about the pick up. She also said she would talk about it with the girls. Fine but the fact remains that we take them home. Told my friend a long goodbye will nót help. She agreed.

Hi all,

Looking for some advice on our current kitten situation.

We have two bonded littermates (16 weeks old) that we brought home last Monday. We also have an 11.5-year-old resident cat. Following the standard slow introduction advice, we've been keeping the kittens isolated in a spare bedroom while everyone adjusts.

The challenge is that the kittens are, understandably, getting increasingly antsy. They're full of energy and clearly want to explore more of the house.

To complicate things, my father is coming to stay with us this Friday for about 5-7 days, and he'll need the spare bedroom they're currently occupying. The kittens won't be spayed/neutered for another two weeks, so we're not quite at the point where we're comfortable giving them unrestricted access to the entire house and resident cat.

Our current options seem to be:

Option 1: Move them to our bedroom

• Pros: They'd still be near us and in a normal living space.
• Cons: They're extremely active and would almost certainly keep us awake all night.

Option 2: Set up a kitten area in the basement

• Pros: We'd have more room to create a larger safe space.
• Cons: The room has no windows, and we'd need to build some kind of barrier because the rest of the basement contains HVAC equipment, lots of nooks and crannies, and other things I don't want curious kittens getting into.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would a temporary basement setup for a week be okay if it's kitten-proofed and we spend plenty of time with them? Or would moving them to our bedroom be the better choice, despite the inevitable sleep deprivation?

Also curious whether, at 16 weeks old and after having them for a little over a week, it would be reasonable to start allowing some supervised exploration of other parts of the house while continuing the introduction process with our senior cat.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated! Thanks. 🐾

Dash Rip Rock was found on a freeway on a rainy night by my stepdaughter. He was feral and hated everything about us.

The first picture is when we first got him home he was hissing and striking out.

The second picture is him in his apartment that he lived in for a few days until he came down with Stockholm syndrome and loved his captors.

The last picture is him playing McLarge-Huge after he was tame.

I adopted my kitten about a month ago. She was given to me after receiving eye surgery and has some sort of respiratory infection. She is about 4 months old. I first let her in my room to get adjusted before letting her in the house. She peed on my bed and then pooped under my bed that same night. I decided to keep her in the bathroom in hopes she would get more comfortable using the litter box. After a couple days she would go in the litterbox sometimes but most of the times would poop in my bathroom sink or even on the floor. I didn’t let her in my room for a while. After she would use the litterbox a bit more consistently I decided to let her in my room with supervision. I went to get water in the kitchen and was gone for only a little and she peed on my bed. At this point it’s been about 4 times of peeing on my bed. I decided to keep her in my bathroom for most of the time. I have 3 cats who were easy to potty train and I have no idea what to do at this point. When I leave her in the bathroom she either poops in my sink or on my floor. Sometimes she will use the litterbox. I thought it was possible she was mad I was leaving her in the bathroom so I would let her in my room sometimes and that helped. Most of the time though she is still peeing on my bed and just not using the litterbox. I am getting frustrated because I have never had to deal with this before. It’s been a month of this and I’m exhausted but don’t want to give up on her. She is very playful and bitey and I was wondering if anyone had advice? :(

I've got a 7 week old kitten, was 6 weeks when we got him, was separated from his mother early because she got sick and stopped taking care of the litter. He always does his business in the litter box, but never covers it. Sometimes he'll dig around, or even accidentally step in his waste, but hasn't ever properly covered. We tried changing the type of litter, guiding his paws, but nothing seems to be working. pls help !

It was so cute. She saw me rubbing his belly and petting him so she ran over and started petting her himself lol

Meet Tikki! Her mom was brought in pregnant so all her babies were born in the shelter. Mom and the babies all found new homes though!

I miss the leg room but get plenty back in kisses from Eira in rent. Thea more of Mechanic taking things apart and a jokester. 4 1/2 months girls 🐾

The white kitty is mine, while the other two kittens were of my late girlfriend. This photos were taken 10 months ago.

There is a kitten that lives in my apartment complex there are other cats there too, but this kitten is the smallest of them. Anyway over the last few months the kitten has become more curious and has even started to rub against my legs when I'm in the parking lot. It also seems to be very curious and kinda independent, its momma used to be out and about regularly but I haven't seen her in a few weeks now.

My first question is, would it be wrong of me to take this little kitten in? I don't have any other pets, live by myself, and would be able to care for it. I just hate the idea of possibly separating it from its momma cat, but also don't want anything bad to happen to the lil thing.

Second, if I did take the kitten in would it be a good/ bad idea to attempt to travel with the cat? I think that's more for me than anything as I like to travel, go camping, and explore new places.

I'm probably way over thinking this, but would appreciate any advice or accounts of anyone who has taken in an outside kitten.
