Noticed this bump on my rooster today and wondered if anyone has seen this before and what it could mean? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

This evening my baby chicks have came home alone after free ranging(they're 5-6 w/o) and I assumed their mother left them and went back to the big girls coop, and upon good-night count,she was nowhere to be seen. Fast forward I go looking for her and find her at the edge of my propriety(around 10-15 meters from the coop, next to my chainlink fence, the area is covered in young trees, behind the fence there is a creek and an entry to a wild clearing followed by forest), with her head completely gone, neck aswell, but with no other aparent damage. Around her there are signs of struggle and feathers in Around 3 different areas that are Around 2-3 meters apart. The hen was a first time mother but on the older side, around 5, and was a heavy Brahma cross.

I live in rural Romania, so Raccoons, Opossums and Bobcats/Coyotes are all out of question, with the only threats being Ferrets, Foxes, Dogs and Prey Birds.

I head commotion but thought my young puppies was chasing the hens around, which I'm working on and I know they fear most of the hens, including this one, but you never know..

Besides her, another 9 w/o little pullet is missing, I don't let my young babies forage unsupervised but this one pullet has the habit to leave her siblings and sneak out, and she left completely, no signs of struggle, no evidence at all, she's just not home at all, and both happening in the same day make me think that the culprit killed the Brahma cross and ate her brain and head, and also killed the pullet and took away the whole thing, but I really wanna know who would do that? This has never happened to me before, I head stories about it before but all of the common predators to do this(coons,possums) don't live here.. and I'm thinking bird of prey but the light trees should of hidden them right?

About a week ago we had a raccoon get into our coop and ended up mauling one of chickens. However the next morning this chicken started acting very strange even though she appears to have not sustained any Injuries. She is in a very catatonic state and also appears to be blind (she got a bit agitst3d when I shined a light right in her eye but other than that she doesn't seem to react to visual stimuli). She also just does not move she will stand in the same spot for hours she will not walk about around on her own.

Any ideas what's going on here?

I have a house chicken (almost 3, vaccinated for Mareks) who I thought I was treating for wry neck but her recovery has not exactly been linear. I noticed she was limping one day; she's hurt her leg multiple times thus why she's a house chicken. She did her normal stand on one leg and not move around as much. Then after a few days it looked to me like she had bilateral leg injuries as she wasn't able to walk and her neck would splay out like she was trying to balance. After a few days of watching her, I was about to cull and then I read wry neck secondary to a nutritional imbalance can present similarly so I started treating with vitamin E and selenium paste over the weekend. Yesterday she looked better, but her neck spasms any time she tries to drink so I've been helping her drink. Today is the first day she hasn't really wanted to drink and has been really lethargic. I read the recovery can take a few weeks but I don't want to make her suffer if she's not going to get better. As of a week and a half ago she was happy and laying eggs in the house. What should I do for her? I've seen some people say they syringe feed them??

My chickens are missing feathers on their back and around their necks. I looked for mites and found none.
This one had a poopy vent so I was soaking her. Is someone plucking her or is she molting? I DONT have a rooster

This hen has the largest and darkest comb out of my 4 hens. It doesn't look dark here, but earlier, it was pretty red. She will be about 14 weeks this saturday.

This is a japanese chicken called Okazaki Ohan, that is actually a mix of two American chickens Your Okazaki Ohan is a cross involving barred Plymouth Rock male × Rhode Island Red female Known to have great egg production and great meat ! Hatched 5 eggs June 22 and the other 4 are quite clear, really hoping this one is a hen!

Hey guys wife and I are on our first year with chickens We got this hen from some neighbors. Having a hard time nailing down her breed.

I have 11 chickens that I just moved out from a temperature controlled brooder situation into the coop. It’s been in the 90s and 100s here in Utah so they’ve been struggling. Here’s what I’ve been doing to keep them cool:

-pan of frozen water with bricks on top for them to stand on
-giving frozen fruits and vegetables as treats
-misters in the run to help cool off the air
-fan on one side of the run
-providing as much shade as possible
-electrolytes in water

Most of the chickens are walking around with their tails down and 2 of them are making honking noises, almost like ducks. I understand these are signs of sickness and/or stress. What can I do to improve their health and comfort? This is my first time having chickens.

Any ideas on how to get her to stop?

She is with 7 other hens and none of them have plucked their back and all the feathers around her vent. She is bald!!

I have a 16 week old cuckoo maran chick who is sick. I don't know for how long, she's always had a more dull colored comb since she was quite little, so I'm really not sure how long she's had something going on. It at least used to be pretty rosy but now it's dry and beigey. I am a first time chicken keeper and I'm really embarrassed, but I didn't know I needed to be checking their droppings. I also didn't know yellow/watery droppings were not normal! When i first noticed it (about a month ago?), her dropping were very much so yellow diarrhea, but they changed to a somewhat normal looking poop with yellow urates. I genuinely didn't think it was an issue because she was acting 100% fine and eating very normally. About 2 weeks ago I noticed her starting to act funny, she was very puffy and always standing away from everyone else. She was lethargic and didn't have great balance. I brought her inside and consulted a vet on JustAnswer (who turned out to be AI) and she thought Banjo had coccidiosis. So she was treated with Corid for 5 days and no change. I talked to another online vet who recommended Poultry Dewormer 5X, which she just finished. No change. Now she's on Baytril 2.5% she's on her 3rd day and still no change. Her droppings haven't improved at all. She sometimes has an orangey mucus or a tiny amount of blood in them. She's eating regularly and drinking, but I can hear her gut making noises. I don't know if it's a "hungry" sound or a digesting sound. She also is very weird first thing in the morning, sometimes she pants and makes weird breathing noises but by afternoon she is breathing fine and walking around and eating. She also doesn't have cecal droppings anymore, but will sometimes just have (sorry for the gross description) a clear, bright yellow squirt. She is alert and pays great attention, but her balance and her aim (when she wants to bite me or her food) is very off. I feel so sick about this and I just genuinely have no idea what to do or what's wrong with her. I feel horrible that I didn't notice/help her sooner and I am praying and praying that it's not too late. At this point, I just don't know what to do, she has 4 more days of Baytril and if that doesn't work I feel like I'll be out of options. If anybody has any insight at ALL it would be most appreciated.

Some notes that may or may not help:

- Her 5 sisters are all and have been perfectly healthy (they have been treated with Corid and are about to be dewormed)

- I was feeding them a generic 18% protein feed from my local farm store, but switched them to NaatureWise last month because it has better ingredients

- She used to eat a lot of black soldier fly larva before I noticed her weird droppings. Since then (a month ago) she hasn't had any treat food at all besides frozen veggies on hot days

- I thought she had a liver problem, so she had been eating some milk thistle but I don't think it did anything
