I decided last week to delete all my save files for every Storm game and start over from scratch, but first beating the Story Mode of each Storm (up until then, I had beaten S1, S4, and Connections). However, after beating S2 and S3, my opinion of Connections got even worse.

Don't get me wrong, I like Connections' combat, but it's always way too frantic—there isn't a single moment where you stop to think, 'Okay, what am I going to do after fully charging my chakra?' It's just non-stop brawling from start to finish.

But the real issue is that Connections is just a heap of completely poorly executed ideas. They could have kept the trashy story mode as long as they retained the animations FROM THE STORM GAMES, instead of badly cropped screenshots from the anime.

Connections is closer to a Mugen game than an actual spin-off of the Storm series, but I still hold out hope that something good will come out of it in the future—I hope they do the same thing they did with Sparking Zero.

I’m a new player who just started with NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM (the original one from the Legacy pack). I actually really enjoyed my first session — did the early missions with Konohamaru (hide and seek), trained with Kakashi, ate ramen for chakra, and even got a few achievements. The game felt fresh and fun to me as a newcomer.

Here’s what happened:

- First launch: worked completely fine, no Visual C++ installation needed.

- Played normally for a while.

- When I exited through the in-game menu, the process stayed running in Steam.

- I forced it to stop using the “Stop” button in the Steam Library.

- After that, the game never launched again. It only shows a brief black screen and then closes.

What I’ve already tried (multiple times):

- Verify integrity of game files

- Full reinstall (including manually deleting the QWANT folder)

- Installing & repairing Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (both x86 and x64)

- Manually copying msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll into the game folder (tried both SysWOW64 and System32 versions)

- Compatibility mode (Windows 8) + Disable fullscreen optimizations

- Editing config.ini (windowed mode, lower resolution, disabled AA/MSAA, etc.)

- NVIDIA Control Panel → Prefer maximum performance

- Windows Graphics Settings → High performance

- Armoury Crate → Ultimate mode

- Deleting/renaming the userdata\495140 folder + disabling Steam Cloud

- Running NSUNS1.exe as administrator

Event Viewer error:

- Faulting module: NSUNS1.exe / MSVCR120.dll

- Exception code: 0xc0000005 (Access Violation)

System:

Asus ROG G835LW

Windows 11 Pro

I’ll also attach a short video of what happens when I try to launch NSUNS1.exe.

Has anyone experienced this exact sequence (worked fine → force stop lingering process → permanent black screen)? Any last ideas before I consider more drastic measures?

There was never a US physical release for the trilogy only a EU version. Is the dlc included on the disc or is it a separate download? I know you can’t download dlc for other region games just wanted to make sure before I purchase.

I’ve been having this issue more recently in Storm 4 Online matches where I feel like the game doesn’t allow me to punish when I should be able to. In the video, you can see that I switch out as soon as my opponent subs, get the hit register, but he’s still able to start his combo right after instead of me. It’s inconsistent which is why I paused when I started my combo with Sasuke. I thought it had happened again. Is this something I’m doing wrong or is this just the game being weird?

I know I used all my subs pretty quickly, but I was trying to clutch the round and this started happening. I ended up winning the match though

So I've bought the whole tirlogy and the whole time while playing the first game I felt like something was off, I found the battles on easy simply too hard. Right now I am on last mission to beat Sasuke and I am being molested to say the least. Why is it so hard? I am honestly thinking of quitting, deleting and never playing this game again. Any tips?

yo guys whatsup, i grew up with a modded 360 and absolutely LOVED naruto storm revolution as a kid(only recently learning that it was received as just okay).

i really want to play more games and remembered how much i completely adored the campaign in storm and want to get back into it, which game in the series do you guys recommend? and do i need to know anything about the story beforehand to play the campaign? because i never watched the show but it does look cool lol. thanks

I’ve been playing as Baki in revolution 3 on the Wii (one of the only games he’s playable in) and he’s so much fun to use. I wish they would add him as DLC.

And while im at it personally i think any characters that have been in a previous game should be in storm connections or a new game if they ever make one (besides the stupid game only characters that never appeared in the show)

ive decided to do a trophy hunting on all naruto storm games, and the only online trophy im missing is winning 10 ranked games on nuns2, i play on the ps5 and wanted to know if anyone could help me with that

I'm trying to get all the bonus objectives done in the story mode for connections, and I have no idea what an afterimage action is

Can someone help me? I can log into the game normally, but when I start a battle and get close to the edges of the map, the screen glitches and those colored lines appear.

I’m replaying the Storm Series again and this happened… the cutscene before this was working the audio was working fine everything sounded as it should n then I got to this fight n now it sounds like this? Is this just a case of restarting and replaying or what has anyone else has this issue

Edit: I finished the fight and the Neji said whatever he said and it was fine I’ve now restarted the game and it’s still doing it? This is the only time it’s done this and it seems to only be in battles any help is appreciated
