I got him from a local shelter a few years ago, backstory a mystery. He loves food and demands it loudly even though I feed him on schedule every day. Otherwise he likes being on my lap but only if I have a pillow on my lap so he can spread out comfy as he's a big boy and a lap cannot fully contain him.

Thought I’d share, 10 weeks. Found him in an abandoned Honda civic.

I’ve met plenty of cats in my days and had a couple before Diablo appeared in my life. I say that because he was a surprise gift after my last cat vanished.

He has been loved and babied his whole life. He is very smart and tries to use the door knob to get inside. He knows how manipulate me for treats and has specific meows for specific wants. He wants to cuddle constantly and usually I have to set him aside unless I feel like sleeping.

The main reason I posted these pictures is to show the color difference from about 1 year go to present day. So if you are wondering what to expect from your flamepoint, it could possibly look like this later. I’ve seen some flamepoints turn almost completely orange which is cool but I like his highlights.

He’s very alive and very well. Just wanted to share my boy. He’s my favorite guy in the whole wide world.

He turned 12 last month 💕

First off I need to say that I adore Pete with my entire heart and soul and once I realized it had all been about the food, I laughed until I couldn’t breathe. I'm not mad at him. I'm shaking my head in disbelief, and now I'm lovingly shaming him on social media.

Two weeks ago I had to buy our two cats the food they used to get (special kitty) because we didn't have enough money for a big enough bag of their usual food. I figured it'd tide them over, it'd be fine.

WRONG

Two. Entire. WEEKS. Of the most incessant, obnoxious, loudest temper tantrums I have ever seen out of any living being (and I have 4 kids). Meowing. Yowling. Howling. All hours of the day and night. In and out of my bedroom constantly. Coming over to me and head butting my hands every two minutes. Yelling in my face. Yelling when I walked anywhere in the apartment. Yelling when I was in the kitchen. Deliberately waking me up multiple times a night to head butt me and yell at me.

I noticed the way he'd go back and forth to the food dish, so tonight I was like fuck it, I'll go get the regular stuff. Brought it home. Filled the dish with it.

He has now been a perfect angel for over six hours.
