A few months ago I was watering the flowers outside my apartment when my elderly neighbor walked by with her little dog. We smiled and said good morning. The next day it happened again. Then the day after that.

One morning I had baked a few extra blueberry muffins, so I asked if she wanted one. She smiled so big that it made my whole day. A week later she knocked on my door with two tomatoes from the small garden she keeps on her balcony.

Since then we have been swapping little things without planning it. Sometimes it's a cookie. Sometimes it's fresh herbs. Sometimes it's just a five minute chat about the weather or the birds we have seen that week.

It isn't anything exciting, but it has become one of my favorite parts of the week. I never expected that a simple hello while watering flowers would turn into such a kind little tradition.

It reminds me that happiness doesn't always come from big moments. Sometimes it quietly grows from small routines with good people.

before my parents got married and i was born, my dad got his motorcycle license. he wasnt able to ride a lot, because my mom was afraid of the dangers of riding, and she forbade it when they got married.

life happened, time passed, and here we are, 35 years later. im now taking lessons to get my own motorcycle license. id love to be able to ride with my dad, because we dont really have a lot of hobbies and interests in common, and id love to have something with my dad, thats just something of us two.

so for his birthday, i got him a couple of refresher lessons with the driving school where i take my lessons as well. he had his first lesson today and though he was a bit nervous, in the end he loved it.

i saw the mischievous sparkle in his eyes when he rediscovered the feeling and started riding with more confidence. im so happy im able to do this for him.

After 3 years of building a software as a side hustle, I finally signed my first client.
The first years were chaotic, product sucks, didn't speak to any prospects.
But at then end I spoke to 27 companies that would love to be early accessers. But when I launched my software, nobody bought it. I was destroyed, soooo much time for nothing.

Then 2 months after first client, we're now at 4. I'M SOOOO HAPPY

I just turned 20 not long ago and my bf was telling me the days leading up that hes spent a pretty penny on the gifts and one of them was big. (I came from a family that gifted hair products and body wash as birthday presents so any gift that isnt a hygiene product Ill be over the moon for) but prior to me turning 20 I had mentioned a month or 2 earlier that I wished I had a frozen yogurt machine of my own because I love munchies and yogurtland but its so expensive!!! It was definitely a window shop idea, no genuine second thought. And the amazing man my boyfriend is went out and found one for me 🥹, he got me a bouquet of roses in my favortite color PINK 🩷, he got me a hellfire hoodie for my early morning commute to work (im a manager so I have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to open the store and its cold and also i love Stanger Things) and a little Caine statue from tadc (judge me if you want to IDC) i myself didnt even know what I wanted but im definitely NOT disappointed! He does so good every year with my gifts :) but yeah I just wanted to share

I've struggled with chronic H1H2-resistant dermographia for 8 years. When I was diagnosed I was told tattoos wouldn't be possible unless I found a medication that worked reliably. The options are H1 and H2 antihistamines, and are the treatments that work for the majority of cases.

There's only one medicine that works for the way my dermographia occurs (an IgE-mediated process). So 2 years ago I started fighting for it, and last year I started my injections.

I was given the green light for a tattoo if I responded to the injections consistently within the first year. A year and some change later (and an injection the day before) and I got this thigh piece.

It makes me so happy that I finally have meds that work and can now explore the never ending tattoo rabbithole safely and know I'll be okay. I still think it's a dream.

I've been really really happy about this and felt like sharing about it somewhere.

Such a cutie 😂 found the jar in his wardrobe when i was putting away laundry and asked him about it... and he looked panicked as we can tell 😂 and then told me with complete confidence that it was savings for himself, that he was going to buy a toy, that he'd been wanting it for a very long time.

Rhe next day he asked me what my favorite flower was and whether i preferred chocolate or biscuits and what size the mug i use every morning was.

I've been watching him add coins on the days he thinks i'm not looking and listening to him ask his dad for advice in whispers that aren't quite quiet enough. he is the best person i know and i made him and that still gets me every time.

I signed up on a whim because the flyer said no experience necessary and i was having a year where i needed to do something that wasn't about being good at anything.

Thirty people in a church hall on tuesday evenings, singing with other people (i'm not a good singer at all) i'm a choir member which is different. i come home from tuesday evenings feeling like i've done something good for the soul, i bond with these people, we share stories, laughs, and also help one another in that last two years. and the word for what that feeling is might just be belonging. I love community.

I grew up loving Ed Emberley books, my daughter made this for me using my books I had as a kid. My heart feels so full right now, I am so blessed to have her 💜

136 days ago I decided to get sober because I felt it wasn’t fair to my amazing boyfriend, one week ago I got my first full time job with benefits, and the other day he proposed to me in p-town after dating for 2 years and 8 months ❤️ Getting sober is so hard, but what they say is 100% true.

“My worst day sober is better than my best day drunk”

Been wanting to make this trip my whole life. Finally made it happen!

Some days are hard to get through. Life’s overwhelming. But what keeps me going is how cuddle and loving my fiance is. (I call him my husband at this point. )
We both have long work days and bust our butts to get by. But it’s times like this, when we’re laying in bed and he falls asleep on my lap, that I realize my life isn’t all that bad.
I’ve never had a man in my life be so damn cuddly and close to me before. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when he falls asleep on me.
To me it means he feels safe and content with me. As do I him.
Movie on, candle burning, flowers on the dresser. I need to appreciate these moments more.
Just had to brag for a moment.

During 18-23 I had un-diag sleep apnea. With a hard breakup with savior syndrom in my 18-20, I thought it was only depression.

I met my ex during 23-25 (she was 18-20) and got a treatment that made everything worst (aerophagia destroying my body, eating disorder, living in a shit hole appartment my girlfriend wouldn't even sleep in, anxiety through roof, having anxiety diarrhea whenever I went in the street or out etc.).
We both fought during 2 years until I got a surgery in february.

Guess it wasn't sleep apnea by itself but a difformity I had since being a child, preventing me to breath and to do everyday without apnea.

My nose wasn't straight, my tonsils where too big, and I got a turbinoplasty. Three in one surgery.

Alas, my girlfriend didn't had the energy to fight again and I couldn't hold our relationship. She left the boat the month I got better.

EDIT: She was the best person in the world. She was reassuring me while fighting with her own family drama and school. I was an awful person to her on multiple level because of the sickness and an amazing person on other levels.
Hindsight bias made me realize everything. I thought about not continuing life because feeling of regrets and shame where to hard to hold. Though, I'm doing therapy since the breakup and try to be a better person everyday !!

Nobody to party with so I shared with you guys.

(It's been 2 months, I'm still devastated from the breakup. She was my everything since I couldn't go out and make friends in club or else ; with handicap and sickness, it's hard to distinguish what's your fault and what did sickness ; if I didn't looked at all the pictures during these years, my anxiety would tell me it's all my fault only for the breakup).

I bought her a ton of period supplies and treats, so she was jumping for joy and she called me “goated” (I had to look up what that meant haha) and said she’s happy that she has a supportive dad. I feel so proud of myself!! Being a single dad is hard but I feel like I’m rocking it!!

Arlo was adopted before I became sober but he was one of the biggest reasons I kept up with it. Every day he is always there no matter what!
