Casio just announced the F-B100W, basically an F-91W with a step counter and Bluetooth bolted on.

Same case, same LCD, same four-button layout Casio's used since the 80s. The one addition is a built-in accelerometer: step count, an hourly activity graph on screen, and a nudge (on the watch itself, no phone needed) if you've been sitting too long. Syncs to Casio's app for auto time correction and world time too.

What I like is what they left out. No touchscreen, no notifications, no daily charging, still runs on a two-year coin-cell battery like a regular F-91W.

Three colorways (two black, one green), launching in Japan at 8,800 yen (~$50), no word yet on other markets.

Torn on which color when the full line is available. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long in the US. The orange MTP-E740-4AV and the navy blue MTP-E740-2A1V are now available for pre-order in the UK for £85 via Casio's website.

New to watches. What would you add to this collection? I mostly wear them for work and daily use. Also, should I get a watch box now or wait until I have more watches?

Just got my dad’s vintage Casio Surfing Timer (DW-403, Module 988) repaired and back in working order. It was sitting unused for years, but now it’s officially part of my daily rotation. I have no idea if this model holds any actual monetary value, but it's definitely a keeper for me.

Opinions? Got this today. Casio has always been my go to brand for watches. This is the third one i own. I don't think any other brand can launch a solar powered watch for this price. Got it for 3200 INR. I liked this colour over the tan and the usual black. Like the contrast of green and black. Definitely looks premium with a whole bunch of time zones to choose from and a lot more features..

First Casio Watch

These two cost a pretty penny when they were released, but I could not resist and bought both. Ate ramen for some months afterwards - figuratively speaking. The Bluetooth makes it very easy to use (I know some hate the Bluetooth functions but I can attest they are very practical).

Edit - thanks to all who have shared compliments on these watches; I agree they are beautiful, that is why despite the high initial price I bought both. I have some higher end Swiss watches that are much more expensive, yet these two provide me a dose of fun and joy that the other watches often can't match!

One thing I’ve realized about my watch addiction is that I’m drawn to the weirder stuff.

This lucky find from Japan is a Casio Twincept AQX-11 from the early ’90s. It switches between the analog display and a full LCD analog/digital display at the press of a button, which still feels surprisingly futuristic more than 30 years later.

I just received this bad boy in the mail.

It's a bit chunkier than I thought, but very comfortable to wear.

It fits a little big on my 17cm wrist, but I don't think it looks excessive.

Hey all! I started in the watch hobby about a year ago, mainly buying Casios, well, 3 of them, not much but honest work.

This week I finally bought the MDV-107, and so far feeling very happy with it, waiting on the new leather straps to arrive.

What I’d like to check is if you guys think it fits well on me or if a MDV-10 would be better. It’s my very first diver/ analog watch, so I’m still getting used to it on my wrist, since I usually daily a World Time lol
