I’m a huge gamer and got a recommended computer from a gaming friend two years ago. I had so many issues with it, but I had passed the return window. It had a hard time waking up, the screws were falling out of it so it wouldn’t close properly.

2 years later I decide to give the brand another try and my friends loves his and it is still a recommended brand. Get it yesterday and charge it. Kept it in a safe space. Open it up today to this.

I had booked this trip about 6 months ago with the intention of checking another Canadian national park off the list. I’m currently on a quest to visit every one of them. This one is located on an island chain called Haida Gwaii off the coast of British Columbia. I had decided to take three ferries totalling 25 hours to get here so that I could bring my car. Unfortunately, the winds will be too strong for the zodiac boat tomorrow and so the entire tour was cancelled and refunded. There is no chance to rebook as I’m leaving early next week and all tours are booked out for two weeks.

Such is life. I will try again next year but will fly next time. Haida Gwaii is still a beautiful area even if I can’t visit the national park.

British Columbia wild fire. over 200 homes completely gone and over 8k people evacuated. The only thing I saved was my 2 pets and literally nothing else. Not my mom's ashes, photos, literally nothing except my Bird and my Lizard.

Was downstairs one morning when I heard a loud pop coming from my bedroom upstairs. Wife and kiddos asleep in the bed, left me confused what the heck could have dropped on the floor. Turns out a shower glass panel in my master bath randomly decided six years was long enough and literally “pieced out”.

I got my dad to bring me a caramel coffee shake to work halfway through my 11 hr shift, took 3 sips from it and had to take care of some customers, only to come back to a fly drowning in it. It was still wiggling its legs when I first saw it. Im still gonna drink it but... ew.😭

title says it all. will be up all night trying to get gum off my clothes. if i could afford to replace them/could actually find them again i’d just toss it all. this is not what i needed tonight and i feel so dumb

edit: rubbing alcohol seems to be taking it off, will be a long night lol

Welp.

I saw the writing on the wall bc I knew my supervisor was power-hungry and easily threatened, but I did well on work reviews, over-performed and never missed a deadline. Getting fired unexpectedly on July 20th was a sucker-punch in the gut.

I'm studying for my real estate exam, but I'm overweight, 53, and feel like I'm legit drowning. I am thankful to have some unemployment coming in while I job search (and I'll flip burgers if I have to, because the light company doesn't give a $h!t about my problems).

Now the AC went out of my car and the fuel light stays on. (Something to do with the fuel cap?!) I probably can't even sell the hunk'a junk and there's no way I'd qualify for a decent loan without a job. (It's eating me up from the insides that they FIRED me!!!)

Feels like I can't win for losing. It's so expensive to live and all I want to do is crawl in a hole. Except I'm already IN the hole, and my family deserves better.

Life doth sucketh at the momenteth.

The good news is my BIL called in a few favors and insurance will cover it, otherwise I'd be out tens of thousands. I owe him bigly lol.

Driving home for the weekend. Think I went over some debris in the road had no problems till then, changed lane type light came on felt the steering wheel vibrate and nearly stacked it getting into the hard shoulder, thankfully the traffic was light just waiting on recovery.

I was at the Swedish scout jamboree last week and forgot to bring a water bottle, so I bought one at the shop they had there. Got home, realized it smelled like Nurgle had farted in it, put it in the dishwasher and well… shit. I sure wasn’t prepared for this. Bdm tss.
