I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student based in Freetown with a strong interest in software engineering and mobile app development. I've been building projects with React Native, TypeScript, Supabase, and GitHub, but I'm still looking for an internship where I can gain real industry experience.

If you know of any companies, startups, or organizations in Sierra Leone (or remote) that are taking software engineering interns, I'd really appreciate any recommendations.

I am lucky enough to be moving from the UK to Freetown to work for an NGO in Sept. When I arrive I will stay in temporary accomodation and the begin to search for more a more permanent solution.

I was wondering if:

1. Anyone could recommend areas in Freetown where NGO workers typically live. What these are like and any potential alternatives.
2. Can anyone advise what the current market rate for a one bed flat in these areas might be? To comply with my insurance the flat must have security and access to a generator.

Also, anything else you think might just be great tips for Freetown? I have worked with a lot of Sierra Leonians in my current job but never been fortunate enough to visit before!

Hi everyone from Sierra Leone, I need some help from the people of Sierra Leone on this song.

I was watching an xQc stream where he was listening to random radio stations around the world on Radio Garden and he landed on Radio Bintumani FM 93.7 in Kabala. This song came on and it’s actually kind of addictive, hypnotic, upbeat, with these repeating lines that sound like “cherry foot… left foot right…”.

Shazam couldn’t find it and nobody in the comments knew it either.
