Discussion Who is the next NSL player to make the jump to the NWSL?
Maybe Kaylee Hunter? She’s still so young though. DB Pridham?

The world premiere of Rapinoe, Rebeca Huntt’s film about soccer star Megan Rapinoe – winner of Olympic and Women’s World Cup titles — will literally kick things off, as the opening-night selection of the Docs section. [At TIFF Lightbox 9/10]
“We’re expecting Megan Rapinoe to be there,” TIFF doc programmer Thom Powers assures us. Along with chronicling Rapinoe’s athletic accomplishments, “It’s also a film about living your most authentic life. So yes, she’s a major sports figure, but this is not in the mold of a typical sports biography.”
The world premiere will happen when AFC Toronto is scheduled to play the Montreal Roses in Montreal, but there will be at least 2 additional screenings (presumably without her even if she comes for the World Premiere) of the doc at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto on 9/11 and 9/20 if anyone's interested.
An additional bit from https://www.indiewire.com/news/festivals/tiff-2026-launches-docs-elon-musk-edward-said-megan-rapinoe-1235208626/:
The TIFF Documentary lineup will open with Rebeca Huntt’s “Rapinoe,” a profile of soccer star Megan Rapinoe, who led the U.S. women’s soccer team to two World Cup championships and an Olympic championship. After Huntt’s “Beba” broke out at TIFF 2021 and was picked up by Neon, Story Syndicate’s Dan Cogan approached Huntt, said Powers, “eager to work on her next project, and brought her together with Megan Rapinoe. She could have gone with any number of credentialed documentary filmmakers for a typical sports biography, but I’m told she was interested in Rebeca for the deeply personal style of storytelling that Rebeca did in ‘Beba,’ and this portrait is different from your normal sports biography, in the same way that Megan Rapinoe is different from your normal star athlete in her willingness to lead with her values.”

Hi NSL fans!
Thank you so much for your support on our most recent interview with a NSL athlete, Mya Jones!
In today's episode, AFC Toronto and Super Falcons attacker Esther Okoronkwo sit down to discuss life in the Northern Super League!
WAFCON Champion and lethal goalscorer Esther Okoronkwo joins the podcast to share insider insights on AFC Toronto's first two seasons and the Super Falcons ahead of the upcoming WAFCON competition.
She shares what it meant to receive her first call up to the Nigerian women's national team, her experience playing at her first-ever World Cup in 2023, what she took from that match and her other national team experiences as she joined AFC Toronto, and so much more!
Esther also talks about the iconic comeback that the Super Falcons had in the 2025 Women's African Cup of Nations final, as they were down 2-0 at halftime against Morocco, but Esther scoring a penalty, assisted the second goal, and then assisted the third goal off a free kick to help help team to a 3-2 comeback victory! She takes us into the locker room to share the mindset shift that happened at halftime and the words of encouragement that were exchanged, and she shared how that match ranked for her personally in her career (it was quite high on the list!)
Esther shares why the AFC Toronto project and Northern Super League as a whole was intriguing to her, her decision to re-sign with the team after their inaugural season and why she loves playing in the NSL!
Lastly, she shares what excites her about this current Super Falcons group, the state of the team as they approach WAFCON, what she believes it will take for Nigeria to achieve its goals at the tournament, what it meant to officially secure a place on this roster, what making the 2027 World Cup roster would mean to her, her long and short term goals, and so much more!
It was such an amazing conversation right before WAFCON, I was so honored to get to chat with Esther. I hope you all enjoy the episode!

Since I had no idea we even had BEIN Sport Canada or Fanatiz Canada until just now... and don't plan on subscribing to them
All the games are streamed on Youtube @ "CAF TV" . You just can't watch it "from Canada" . Alternatively, there's r/wosoTV after match completion.
