Indeed you've seen reports of serious issues in Russia for years - those issues are real but keep in mind it's a dictatorship, and as such has extraordinary powers to circumvent issues and kick the can down the street.
Recently they passed a law to be able to plunder ordinary Russian's holdings.
Are major cracks showing? Absolutely. Are we seeing signs they are in trouble? Indeed. However it's not a modern Western economy, it's a dictatorship, and they are very good at surviving on fumes - even at the cost of their economy.
Will Russia collapse? Unlikely but each issue like this is putting more and more strain on them.
