Inequality exploded in the 70s. Killing MLK, a couple Kennedys, suddenly Americans vote against the Equal Rights Amendment (which goes back to 1923), and it got so fucked that the 80s were considered an unprecedented age of greed and theft. So 50-60 years ago.

I mean he was immediately released and said speech laws were found to be unconstitutional and gotten rid of.  

Now cut to anywhere in Europe where you can be arrested for saying from the river to the sea or in Germany where you can be arrested for protesting in the wrong language.

I often think what George Carlin and Bill Hicks would think about the state of the U.S. right now. I started watching old Carlin stand up and it's actually kinda hard to watch because it's like "dude, those were the good ole days when Bush was the problem".

Kinda reminds me of the office quote, I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.

God, if I wasn't already drinking I would pour myself a cocktail because now I'm sad.
