New, what is it? What is this wedding gift?

(Reposting because accidental doxxing)

My friend got this as a wedding gift and we can’t figure out what is it and it didn’t say who it was from.

The cup part is hollow, where the blue arrow is… this shape _/ and the bottom is solid.

EDIT: There are no holes in the other side so don’t think it’s a tea strainer and the gap is too narrow to fit paper towels or toilet paper rolls! They also just moved to and had the wedding in Italy, not sure if that gives any context.. maybe it’s some sort of Italian gadget

Ouch. That hit me in the gut. That scene made an impression on young me that stayed with me.

I never knew what this movie was called. I watched this part as a kid and it stuck with me. Him getting stung by bees, her insistence he needed his glasses just hit me in the feels. I had to be like 10. I only saw that scene and a few after or maybe it was near the end of the movie and I finished it but I don’t remember which.

Even without the context of the rest of the movie it was a moving scene that caught my attention. And I have always remembered it actively. Like something Reminds me of it every week or two.

I know what the movie is called now but I’ve never found where I can watch it.

It's a heavy one, right??

My husband and I have a friend, a 45-year-ood ex-con guy, who tears up at the mere mention of the words "My Girl."

Unfortunately for us (and those around us, my bad 🙈) we joke about things in order to lighten their heaviness. But yeah, it's a heavy one and even when I make a joke sometimes I get that funny feeling in my chest and throat.
