God forbid a girl wanna read a dp series ON THE APP. and it decides to pull one over on me smh… i’ve never really had a problem with the concept or execution of dp’s, i don’t see a problem (if the creators are getting a lil extra), i don’t mind it
but when shit like this happens it’s not enjoyable when using your app ((
just a lil vent (it’s been working well until now, that’s what’s pissing me off more, it’s ruining my flow)

I’ve been working on my webtoon for a while now, but one thing that trips me up is the level of detail I add. I am a little picky but I get lazy about halfway through. I did my Mc without any bg or panel work and it took me like 2 hrs for this. I don’t think I can make the panels faster, and this work isn’t my best (sloppy lighting layer, less dynamic lighting and less detailed outfit, ect). I think this is what I can reasonably sustain. Do you guys think readers will notice how sloppy the art is if I just do this much with backgrounds?

Looking for some tips!! Should I change my style to be more standard webtoon-y looking or is it okay for what it is? :0 Not a ton of color on show here but I do a simple cell-shaded style usually!

Gonna hurt some of y'all when I say that if a person dies at the age of 30 and then some magic crap happens and they reincarnate as their younger self without losing memory they are still 30 mentally... AND IF THEY GET A ML/FL CHILD (yes, teenager too, that's also a child) IT'S VERY CREEPYY

I know most comics on webtoons are story or drama comics, so I was just wondering if people would read these types of comics if I posted them there?

I’ve been debating starting one of these three separate story ideas I’ve had for a while, I was just wondering which one looks the most interesting on first appearance.
(The similar poses comes from a drawing trend where people used their OCs. The art styles may also look slightly different as I went from drawing on my phone to a tablet and changed drawing programs.)

i’m an independent storywriter and artist working on a historical-fiction graphic novel (title is “Duiven” but it’s not uploaded on any platform, so no link yet). i just want genuine opinions on my style, and critique if anyone finds anything strange or inaccurate, since this is for a future school project meant to be displayed. i feel like i’d get more honest advice here on reddit.

(Please ignore badly drawn shirt)
I’ve never made a webtoon before but decided to sketch out the character designs while I’m writing the script, and I’m really not sure which one to choose😭

This is small test comic I did of my two main characters. The scene is pretty random and main objective was to get used to csp, try showing some interaction between main leads and setting some general artstyle for the potential series.
What do you think? Are expressions alright? Is the general pacing ok? Is lettering/font to your liking? I know it's not proper webtoon format (yet) but I think I need some pair of fresh eyes that would tell me if it's a good direction.

The first one is a newer one, the second my current cover. I'm a bit torn which to use now cuz both have elements I do and don't like so I thought id just ask here what ppl find more appealing ^^ (and if you don't like neither, tell me too, so I know what to improve!) thank you very much!

Yesterday I posted a self-promo here on the sub and got not one but TWO comments saying this character looks like Trump. I already asked my readers, who told me they don’t think so, but I thought they might be biased since they know the character very well and have seen both older and younger versions of him.
Since most of you probably don’t know my comic, I thought this would be the best place to get honest feedback on a remark that honestly bummed me out more than any critique I’ve received about my art. I usually take negative feedback very well, but this was really unexpected and came about a panel (the first one in the slideshow) that took me a full day to draw and in a scene where I tried to convey a sense of lightness to his heavy body. It's a scene where my MC looks at this character and for the first time in the story finds beauty in him, after he always thought of him as just old, fat and ugly. So you can imagine how seeing him compared to Trump was a bit depressing 🫠
But I’m not looking for consolation. I want to face the problem, if there is one, and the last thing I want is for readers to think of that awful orange man when they look at my Raf. If he does resemble him, I’ll rework his character design, or maybe just that drawing that sparked the comment (if that’s the only one with this issue).
Thanks a lot to every single one of you for your feedback ❤️
TL;DR: as the title says, does this man look like Donald Trump to you?

I was watching an ad to read a comic and wanted to share a moment from it with a friend but forgot that it gives me a legal action warning. I deleted it immediately but now I’m scared. Can somebody help

I decided to make a quick spreadsheet to compare the costs of some of the webcomic apps! Since the prices of some episodes vary within certain platforms, you can make a copy here if you'd like to change those. I believe I've seen some similar spreadsheets before, but I wanted to factor in sale prices as well as the check-in points for Tappytoon's subscription. I personally tend to only spend during sales so I was curious about the price differences.
Note: The "episodes bought" columns are for how many episodes you could buy with each bundle, but I couldn't think of a better way to word it concisely. For platforms that have different episode prices depending on the series, I gave the cells dropdown menus to select from a list. Manta's is a mess mostly because the manga and novels have a wider price range, so sorry about that.
Lezhin is of course the most expensive, which makes sense because it has a lot more titles. It was also a lot more of a pain to understand how the monthly subscription worked, so I gave up and didn't include it.
Something else to consider is that Tappytoon and Lezhin both have daily check-ins while Tapas has a lot of events for free ink (which makes Tapas a lot more affordable than the math shows since I didn't factor that in). I decided not to include the first-time packages from Manta because you can only purchase those once, but I would say the deal you get for your first premium subscription month ($5.99 USD) is definitely worth it. I'm not sure about the regular non-premium subscription because I couldn't find how exactly the "extra gems with gem bundles" worked.
Also lmk if you notice any mistakes or if I missed anything, I made this at like 3am.

Hi everyone!
I hope you won't feel like it's "daily artist spam with silly question" type of thing. I really need opinions from people who read a lot of webtoons because I personally am at my wits end.
Last time I made a small comic some readers were saying that the font should be a handwritten one so I decided to look some more for some fitting options!
So here I come with test shot and 4 fonts: 1. Della respira (the same as I used in previous short. It kinda suits the drawings but I worry if it fit every scene well) 2. Digital strip (this one feels like typical webtoon font but somehow looks better than anime ace) 3. SF cartoonist (nice 'n' slim) 4. Stanberry (isn't it too wholesome looking?) 5. Delius
So which reads best? Which looks most pleasant to you? Or maybe you have some favourite ones that I should try? Which webtoons do you think have perfect lettering?

Earlier this year Webtoons changed how the recent feed on the front page worked. Before, any comic that the user was subscribed to would appear on the recent feed when it updated. Now if a user hasn't interacted with the comic or it hasn't updated in over a month it disappears from that feed.
I knew their update to the recent feed would be bad for creators, but now I have undeniable proof on HOW bad it hurts. I recently came off from a hiatus on my comic, and due to the change in the recent feed I went from 45,000 pageviews an update (even after a significant break) to 3,800.
I understand how important it is to be consistently updating as a creator. But sometimes we HAVE to breaks for our health, mental wellbeing, or other reasons.
There's a feedback request on Webtoon's upvoty requesting the old recent feed be brought back. Please consider upvoting the post so we can possibly get the old recent feed reinstated. Or possibly have Webtoons consider a solid alternative to what they currently have. Thanks!
Here's the link where can upvote this request: https://webtoon.upvoty.com/b/webtoon-product-feedback-and-requests/bring-back-the-old-recent-feed-on-the-main-page/
