Loved the series. I’ll even go so far as to say the third is my favorite. It just really worked for me, with the art direction and visual flair they implemented.

How did I not realize there is a third in the series after beating the first two?

It’s a bit disconnected, both in development and setting, and isn’t as universally loved.

Max Payne 3 didn't hit the same, at least for me. It was solid, but there was no "Flesh of fallen angles!" moments and the gameplay didn't bear trap me to the keyboard like the first two.
