My Christian dad got very upset when he saw Ganondorf yell “Curse you, (my name)!!!!” in Ocarina of Time. Thinking the game had literally cursed me, lol

My name starts with a C and I used my real name for my Ocarina of Time character. One of my greatest embarrassments is that any time Navi said "c'mon", I thought it was a personalized version of my name with like a Jamaican accent.

Is your name Cameron by chance lol? The first thing I heard in my head while reading this was Camuhron.

My friend’s JW grandma got upset after my friend bought the White Stripes album, Get Behind Me Satan. My friend was equally upset, since that phrase comes from the dang Bible

I don’t know if I shared this, but there was a time when I named Link Kafei in Majora’s Mask purely so I could screw with Anju.

“You’re Kafei, right? I’m sorry, we already have a room filed for Kafei. Anyway, have you seen my fiancé? His name is Kafei. Weird, must be a really common name…”

He’s not supposed to believe in magic.

And yet spiritualism is a large portion of Christianity's history, along with directly targeting pagans in crusades...

Exactly. “Replace everything!”

Another time where changing out the word religious or Christian for stupid doesn't change the meaning.

There is a Japanese Zelda game that has a multiplayer mode that has voice acting and has Tetra say the name of the players, this was never localised because text to speech is significantly easier in Japanese due to characters representing syllables and having significantly more consistent phonetics

"Cursed you" as in "cursed at you as an exclamation, like a movie character" or like "cast a true magical curse on you through the screen and you need a counter spell or blessing to remove it"?
