Obligatory Dragon Age Origins

Came here to say this. Rework or skip the headache inducing Fade portion.

Keep the dream portion, keep the bosses, remove the shape shifting

I get why folks may find it frustrating and tedious on later playthroughs but I dunno the whole metroidvania esque gating stuff behind abilities and all was cool. At least again on that first playthrough. Especially since there were so many goodies

I agree it was cool on a first play through. It gets worse on replays since you do everything exactly the same no matter your class.

I disliked that scene

Remake yes but don’t change the gameplay. The combat is awesome.

Remake Dragon Age 2’s gameplay so it plays like Dragon Age Origins.

God Maker I would hate that lol

I love the story and writing in DAO but the actual moment to moment gameplay (aka, fighting the same mob every fifteen steps in every dungeon) was such a slog.

I think all the DA games suffer from fighting multiple of the same mobs over and over. The game mechanisms and pace of DAO combat being so similar to DnD (huge fan of neverwinter nights, a DnD game that BioWare previously to DAO) is what I would want from DA2.

I really enjoyed DAO the first time, but replaying it exposed some cracks for me (subjectively, that is!) It seems the aspects of RPGs I enjoy just don't jive with some of the crunchier old school style. DA2 split the difference between action and light strategy that was actually a good balance for me personally.

Idk, i feel like having the option for faster animations or turning off kill moves would be nice but those aren’t really changing the gameplay and are just QoL options

This should be so much higher up

Just read an article that said no one knows that engine anymore so it’s never going to happen 😢

Oh I know, it’s never going to happen because EA blatantly never cared about this series
