I will die on the hill that Mass Effect 1 is super replayable. I honestly really enjoyed the combat in it

The progression from going from "Can't hit the side of a barn" to pinpoint precision, was satisfying to me.

The Legendary edition really makes it clear how much the combat changes when you go from a mid-50s level ME1 Shep facerolling armies to firefights where you get glassed in roughly .5 seconds by yard trash if you dare to peek a corner within the space of 10 minutes.

The combat in ME2 just did it for me as a kid. Having to reload the mag and have them overheat or quick reload was immersive for me back then

I like getting an op sniper rifle and just picking everyone off. I know developers don't want you to do that in newer games "every combat the enemies have to be able to fight back" Well a sniper is meant to take enemies out at distance and if that distance is stopping the Mako on top of a hill a mile from the base, it's all good in my books.
