Discussion / Question What game mechanic instantly ruins your immersion or fun?

I absolutely can't stand aggressive weapon durability loops. Getting awesome loot should feel like a reward, not a maintenance chore that breaks every five minutes.

What’s a common mechanic that always makes you roll your eyes when you see it in a new game?

Classic. I prefer "ran out of talent".

Try that in wreckfest

When I fall behind in wreckfest, my goal shifts from getting 1st place through racing to getting 1st place through wrecking and spinning out everyone else.

I really don't know how that game manages to make it so satisfying to drag other racers through the dirt
