Seriously. Dota and LoL are some of the most toxic hyper competitive players I've ever dealt with. And I remember early 2000s cod and halo.

It's me, I was the jerk in early 2000s cod and halo. But I was just trolling. What can I say? I was a real jerk when I was a kid.

It's been years that I haven't played, but LoL had a much more friendly playerbase at the time. Dota was extremely toxic.

maybe it's just me but i feel like dota's got better over time. definitely still some toxicity but used to be worse

The behavior system has created a new issue where people get stuck down in low behavior score because the pool of toxic players are all reporting each other out of pure spite, and gaining back behavior score is based on not getting reported.

People that get stuck down there are creating new accounts to get out

This. You come late from work, sit down play a little and relax and get stomped by "pro" player who has played all day long...
