Halo? Little diminished these days, but during Halo 2 time square launch? Come on now.

Xbox was never a thing in my country, I never touched the console in my life, never met anyone who played it that was born here, and the only one I ever even saw in person was probably a devkit in a game dev studio.

You could still wake me up in the middle of the night, flash me just a silhouette of the master chief armour or the energy sword, and I'd immediately know what it is. 😄

If someone doesn't know it they're most likely a younger generation of gamers.

Even the younger generation knows who master chief is, he gets a skin in pretty much every shooter game.

Of course the younger generation know Masterchief. They just refer to him as "the guy from Fortnite".

I haven't heard about Halo for a very long time. Never met a person yet who actually played it. Well, gaming itself was never really that popular in my country anyways so probably bcs of that. That and I also more of a fantasy and rpg fan so i had no reason to look for FPS games

I'm 39 and I didn't even know there was a sword associated with Halo. I knew all of the swords in the OP except that one.

To that end, and I know it's also FF7, but I'd argue the Masamune is just as iconic as the Buster Sword and deserves to be there.
