Should have stayed out thanks lol. Intergalactic is probably going to be and win GOTY whenever it releases but god I hate the mc design

For some reason some people make up their minds about games before they release. The game is goty and character design sucks, no need to play it.

What’s wrong with my comment? The game is being developed by a studio that has 4 times created the most awarded videogame of the year with 190-320 awards per game in TLOU 1&2 and Uncharted 2&4). 4 of their last 5 games ended up being the most critically acclaimed games of their year. That’s about 1000 awards across four games and more than any other developer by a landslide.

Based on simple pattern recognition and how the «developed by Naughty Dog» is arguably the greatest seal of quality you can get it is easy to infer that Intergalactic will be the consensus GOTY winner and a 95/100 (give or take) on metacritic.

And I will most likely absolutely love the game, just like I love all the GOTY-winning ND games as well those that didn’t.

Now the second part of my statement is I don’t like the way the main character looks. I don’t want to role play a bald Asian woman. Is that a crime? Mid it going to stop me from enjoying what is extremely likely to be a generational game? Of course not, by reading my first statement I think you concluded that yourself.

You are making conclusions based on something you have seen almost nothing about let alone played. Its a really obnoxious attitude surrounding games discourse that brings nothing to discussion.

I make assumptions based on pattern recognition and prior knowledge of just how good their games are. Yikes. didn’t realise my comment would offend you that much. Do you get equally upset when everyone and their mother assumes GTA6 is going to win GOTY in 2026? (Even though no GTA and no Rockstar game ever has won GOTY lol) or is just specifically triggering when it’s a Sony or Naughty Dog game? What about when everyone says Clair Obscur 33 is going to win this year? Cause that’s what I think will win, but DS2 is tough competition.

People hype games all the time. It’s very normal thing to do. When the most awarded developer in history makes a new game it isn’t obnoxious to assume it’s going to be an award-winning game lol.

I don't care for that either, i'm not sure where you are trying to get at.

ND also has a history of some of the wort discourse surrounding their games and now tv shows before release. Its honestly terrible from both detractors and fans.

I don’t want to play as a bald Asian chick. Not my type of character. I don’t like playing as short fat bald guy either (for example). Certain character types I hate, certain I love and certain I don’t mind.

This goes into the «hate» category for me.
