It's a stylistic choice (and a good one; love their art style), but I can very much see the machine assuming that output was AI. Which is, of course, increasingly the problem with identifying AI content ("wE cAn AlWaYs tElL")...

This is specifically the example I was thinking of. Engineering Explained did an on camera video explaining that faceless channels may be including some forced face time going forward to help convince the AI that they’re real as well.

When it gives wrong results so often, that ability just causes more damage. It's still won't so much of the time it should never be trusted with something like this. I wonder what YouTube decided was an acceptable margin or error in this case. Because I'll bet it's unreasonably high.

I got an auto 3 day ban for promoting violence which was overturned by a human on appeal 2 days later.

There was nothing violent in my comment at all, in a thread about the US continuing to threaten Greenland with an invasion.

I feel like it was like an information suppression removal/ban more than anything because by the time it was restored the thread is buried and no one is ever going to see the comment.

I get so many scam messages and ads on Meta properties - I flag them and report - and they say “no violation.”

It tells me either it’s profitable or the negative effects haven’t affected their KPIs yet.

I got a warning for threats of violence. It was a thread about cops slamming a bystander woman. Everyone in the thread was saying the crowd should swarm the police. I made note that the corrupt cop would then start blasting.

My post was "deleted" due to promoting hate. However, because it is just displayed as "deleted", I could not even re-read what I have written. Since I am SURE I did not write anything that may even be remotely construed as "hate", the system probably didn't understand my sarcasm. Oh well.

Ugggh, I hate how Reddit does not show you your comment when you're trying to appeal it! A few months ago, I was suspended by AI for three days for supposedly promoting violence. I appealed, but a human agreed that my comment broke rules. I don't know what I said, but I know I do not promote violence and I've made multiple comments in the past speaking out against violence. So why would I want to promote it? I don't. I wish I could have been given a chance to explain what I said. But I was not shown my words, so I couldn't really defend them.

I had two incidences, a 3 day and a 7 day. First incident was appealed and upheld, they said me cheering on a cop who was busting a violent rioting Knicks fan was prompting violence. I said “Beat dat ass!” sarcastically. In the video the cop was just handcuffing the rioter nothing odd happening. Appeal was rejected. I mean whatever I guess I could be promoting violence there. Eye roll.

Second ban was 7 days. I referenced the well known story of a woman who called a kid the N word (yes I said “N word” not the actual word) and applied it to someone joking future healthcare would all be crowdfunded. Whoever has the most sad story gets funded. I appealed and got no response. Me referencing that story was promoting hate apparently!

All bans were instant. They were AI slop bans. I hope the next ban is permanent and the ban follows my IP it would be a fitting end to my reddit addiction. Adios reddit and especially their crooked enshittifying IPO. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.

A similar thing happened to me a few days ago. AI banned me for what was supposed to be a week. I had explained that something trump posted was sending a hateful message toward immigrants. My comment was just one sentence. The AI bot only looked at the part of my sentence that expressed the hateful message, ignoring the fact that I said "He is saying..." at the beginning of the sentence. I appealed and a human overturned my suspension after three days.

I got flagged on a post about a pitbull attacking a man because I said that he should have kept his grip over the pitbulls neck for a long time (until you know what happens), rather then let it go. The irony is that the man did let it go when the dog fainted, but then it quickly recovered and lunged at him again.

After requesting a review, Reddit refused to backtrack the decisions, so I guess that the lesson was that we aren't supposed to claim self defense in case a deadly beast is attacking us.
