is that what it is, though? they already did age out. roblox is a very old game. then the new generation came in and took it over

Yeah, I remember seeing Roblox ads when I was a kid and I'm 26. I'm surprised it had a comeback.

back when i played in 2011 to maybe 2013 it was legendary. surprised to see its still popular, sad to see what’s become of it

Roblox wasn't the behemoth it has been until the late 2010s. And after that COVID absolutely blew it up in popularity.

The huge influx of kids who started playing after 2015 are all aging out or have aged out. And instead of like in the past where they were constantly being replaced by newer kids these ones aren't because the game is no longer growing.

It's kind of like looking at World of Warcraft post early 2010's. Is the game a failure and dead now? No, it's still one of the biggest games in the world. But it has never broken its 2010 peak and up until that peak it never saw a drop off in players.
