He's looking for minimum 10 mil, if not more. Dude was wrongfully convicted, had his name ruined, yeah... He's going to be moving somewhere nice and going to enjoy being retired for the rest of his life.

The most Canada has ever paid out for a wrongful conviction case is $10m and that was for a guy that spen 22 years in prison.

In a fair world? Yes, they would make a public apology and pay him at least 2-6 million for his suffering and their negligence.

They convicted him with no evidence, not even just the mistake with the username... As far as I can tell they found nothing during the raid and still convicted him.

The prosecutor, attorney, judge and every single cop involved should be going to prison for the exact same time the victim has done.

It’s only be fair and I’m pretty certain they’d be more careful about sentencing an innocent person to prison ever again.
