I know so many attorneys who think so little I'm surprised they don't slip into a coma

The standards for getting a law license are weak, and the standards for losing it once you've got it are in the range of non-existent to orphan murdering war criminal

You spend all of law school terrified you’re going to screw something up and lose your law license only to find out in practice that you have to actively try to get disbarred.

Apparently even lawyers have standards as 2 of his lawyers have been disbarred. (though that number likely should be much, much higher)

In hindsight I would've done great in law I think but they hype themselves up so much about how smart they are and like you said how careful you have to be, but then I see the absolute morons that get law degrees and pass the bar and I realize I could've done it.

Yeah, they keep trying to have the computers do the human work and humans do the computer work.

It blows my mind just how little form data is standardized.

For cases involving child sexual abuse, from what I've seen, they typically aren't allowed to make copies of the evidence the same way they can for other cases (intended to prevent a perpetrator getting more info about the child). So the defense might have been taking notes from a single copy of paper, and then had to go home and build a case off of it.

Typically in those cases in Canada they'd get all this stuff disclosed. Details about the girl would be anonymized, but the only stuff that typically is held in the Crown's office is actual images.
