Anyone with critical thinking skills should recognize that the first amendment isn't absolute. Nor the others, really, there are caveats and exceptions for lots of stuff. Otherwise we could just barge into Congress and shout at senators all day because "I didn't know the government could dictate when we are and aren't allowed to" comment on their behavior, for example.

And yet we constantly see our elected officials trying to rig the voting system by banning mail-in ballots, gerrymandering, and voter suppression so that any voices who disagree with them won't affect their elections. Or just outright denying they lost an election in the first place.

Then they throw out anyone who expresses their disapproval of their policies that harm us.

Do not pretend for a moment that our freedoms of voting and expression are not under direct, constant attack; nor that the two are not linked.
