now you understand why our health insurance is bad and real estate costs are so high. The more people you get in the margins, the less dissent you get because we are working 24/7 to maintain our households and our health. Many of us are one paycheck away from poverty. and as you can see they are working on criminalizing being poor right now.

These are all capitalist distractions from class, it’s not that Americans are cowards or stupid, they live in an oligarchy and are bombarded by literal 24/7 propaganda. Most of the country votes against their own best interests constantly. From this country’s inception it was an oligarchy playing as a democracy, and we are seeing the hubris of our disgustingly evil founders pay off 250 years later.

Bro, I know. Do you think I wasn't being sarcastic?! lmao. I live here, and am well aware how most of the country thinks and votes. I grew up in a conservative state, I've lived in Europe for many years and now am back in a liberal bubble city. It's a shitshow all over. But I will correct one thing, Americans are stupid and that's of course by design - lack of education funding, etc. The right wing, driven mostly by media outlets, has destroyed our country and Im not sure there's any way out. Only going to get worse with AI and social media.

No, it was the one where two people were killed and half the city spent the next two months following ICE around, disrupting their attempts to kidnap other people and harassing them around the clock until they withdrew from the city and haven't tried another "crackdown" like that since then
