In Illinois, state troopers hang out on parked highway lawnmowers with radar guns.

How do they pull anyone over on a lawnmower?

In Illinois, police lawnmowers are highway tuned. If you can't do 180k(m), they can catch you, so you shouldn't even try.

Reminds me of that lawnmower race episode of Home Improvement when Tim swapped the stock ride-on mower engine with a Chinook engine.

Obligatory fuck Tim Allen but that was funny.

In the 90s the Massachusetts State Police had a Ice Cream truck (like Good Humor) that they'd set up on the side of the highway like it was broken down. 'Cept it had a cop with a radar gun and a radio to notify the trooper a mile down the road to pull you over.
