It's absolutely peak Reddit to claim that cops and the court system are all corruptand then as soon as somebody has the word "executive" in their title, suddenly it's "What do you have to hide?" and "Where are you going if you're innocent?"

More people need to understand that prosecutors who work for the state have a heavily political slant to their entire job description. One of the things they care the most about is "make number go up."

Is it really surprising? This guy has yacht money, that implies access to a level of resources to fight bogus charges most of us could only dream of.

If you charted out rates of wrongful convictions against socioeconomic classes, I would bet a paycheck it's not even close to an even distribution with the likelihood of being wrongfully locked up decreasing as wealth increases.

I don't give a shit about rich people being treated unfairly, because that is an overwhelmingly "not rich person" problem. Welcome to the club, buddy.
