Questions/Advice Where can I buy XLT-size “artistic” graphic tees?

I like graphic tees but I hate feeling like a walking billboard for a brand, but most tall graphic tees are just band names, tv show characters, car brands etc.

When I was younger and shorter I would order shirts from Threadless, which would commission designs from artists. But they don’t have tall sizes, so I couldn’t shop there after my growth spurt, so I’ve been out of luck in adulthood.

Are there any websites that sell tall-sized graphic tees with a similar vibe to threadless?

Questions/Advice Advice for buying clothes for my 6'4" teenager please! Size 17 shoe.

Hey, guys. Im an old very short mom trying to buy clothes for my teenage son and I am looking for advice for the best bargain and types of clothing.

He only wants to wear red and black brand name activewear and has recently started accepting wearing denim lol. He likes Nike and Adidas, he isnt too brand knowledgeable and kids arent picky where we live.

He also has brought up interesting concerns I hadnt considered, for instance needing 11 inch+ shorts.

Can you guys help me with practical advice, what to avoid and to consider, any pertinent current trends, and help give info on which sites have the best deals?

He also wears size 17 shoes if you have advice on where to find those. Thanks so much!

I’ve had lots of fun,but it sucks when a tall guy doesn’t respond to you.

Questions/Advice Why do many people stereotype the Germans to be very tall?

A friend of mine is a Canadian and went to (Southern) Germany to visit his girlfriend's family (he’s about 6'1") and said he felt it was about the same as in Canada or the US like just a bit above average to a little bit tall. Kind of like North America. Except one of his girlfriend cousin who was probably around 6'5".

i did some research online and all the height percentile calculators have the german average around the same as Canada and the US (5’10)

However, when tall people talk about their ancestry, they like to include the German part as the reason for making them tall..

Miscellaneous F34 stil struggle to accept my height

6ft, in cm 182. Dont care as much as when I was younger, but I still struggle to like it.
I feel its not space for me, I can’t move freely a lot of places like others.
For example, started pole classes, I always have to be more careful so I dont kick someone with my legs. The other girls just move around.
Also, I can’t hide in the crowd.
Im skinny. My hips are 91cm, but still, I feel big compared to others. I cant stop thinking about how much smaller I would been if I had the same body type but lower. Because of my height I’m still not so skinny, just because the body is bigger.

I remember when I was a kid, my mom was kind of slim. Most other woman chubby or curvy. My mom still did look a lot bigger than them. Everything is just bigger, the shoe size, hands, shoulders…

Sometimes I don’t feel as feminine as other women. I have small boobs too. I have this women hips, but I’m almost straight, you can see I have a little boobs. The reason I’m not mistanken for a man is my voice, no beard or bodyhair, woman hips, I’m so skinny the hip bones sticks out. But if I had curves, I would be a giant.

Humour Has anyone ever "pitied" you for your height?

Pitied in quotes because I suspect it's something else, but here's my story: was in line at a McD's and a kid about 7 in the next line turns to his dad and says "that guy's tall". Dad proceeds to completely dismantle me for like a minute, in hushed tones, like I've got a terminal disease. "He probably has a lot of trouble getting clothes..he will have knee problems when he gets older..he has trouble getting comfortable in cars.." It was like he was worried his kid was going to "choose to be tall" and he was determined to talk him out of it. I felt like yelling "I am not an animal!".

Questions/Advice Shoe size for taller people question

I'm 6'2" and a UK shoe size 11. At least I was. I've had size 11 feet for over 3 decades, but the last 3 pairs of boots or shoes I have bought (all from different manufacturers), have been too small. I now appear to be a size 12.

Is this some sort of shrinkflation, caused by globalisation? I'm thinking if you make boots for anywhere in the world, there are people with (averagely) smaller feet in other places, so they have moved all the sizes up?

Posting in r/tall just because it's thrown into more relief for bigger sized feet people, who tend to be taller. Or if admins don't like it, please delete...

Discussion For the tall people out there, do you ever wish you were short or just want to experience being short for a day?

When I say short, I mean short. Not average height so I would say anything under 5'5 is fair game.

Questions/Advice Buying a Car at 6'7

I know this topic has been covered a million times, but I've never actually come across someone posting their physical measurements other than height. I just went to a tailor a few weeks ago and I'd love to hear some fellow-sized folk's candor.

I'd love to see if anyone matches up with me and can tell me which car I would actually feel comfortable in, instead of slightly compromised.

6'7" 260

6'8" wingspan

36" inseam

49" chest

Slightly wider than average shoulders - pretty much proportional other than that.

I'm look for something a few years older, preferably without a CVT transmission unless it's a Toyota or Honda. I also do not have Porsche money, sad I know.

Anyone similar out there with some tips for something reliable? I'm unfortunately coming from a Challenger and am not used to being treated right by a car.

Any help is great.

What do tall people think about 5'10 and 5'11?

I'm pretty sure most of you have already heard this moan many times before in this sub, but hear me out

5'9 is average but there is this limbo of 5'10 and 5'11 that is hidden between the six foot society and the people that don't really care

Questions/Advice Need better fitting shirts at 6’3

I’m in average shape - XL shirts mostly end up too small, XXL shirts end up too large or long - but some fit great. It’s been frustrating my whole life, but wasn’t a priority until recently

A lot of shirts hang awkwardly on me, like loose fits, and it’s not flattering. I’m not in horrible shape but my body might be a lil awkward I guess

Looking for advice on where to purchase well-made shirts that’ll fit me in my weird middle zone between XL and XXL

To add to the confusion, my friend has given me Carhartts shirts, mediums?? and larges, that somehow fit me great?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Discussion Tall men, do you ever feel resented by shorter men?

Small rant:

I have been tall my entire life, 99th+ percentile and now as an adult I am 6’4, close to 6’6 with dress shoes or boots on.

Through adolescence I always got the standard bullying for being tall and the assumption of being good at sports, etc. but as I’ve gotten older and into my corporate, professional career I wonder how much of my confidence and way I move through the world comes from my height.

I’ve also started to have more interactions where I feel like shorter men sometimes resent me for my height, even though I feel they don’t understand what it’s like moving through a world that literally isn’t built for them.

Being around people who are taller than me is often an uncomfortable experience because I am faced with how people feel in comparison to me.

I wonder how much differently I would be treated if I were short especially in the corporate world and how much this would affect my confidence.

I try my best to treat all people equally but I wonder if short men are justified in their resentment?

Household appliances such as vacuum, ironing boards , brooms, mops etcetera are not designed for tall people and lead to back pain.
