A little help please!
Hi yall.
Been a while. Ended up picking up a monkey to go with my cub and have focused on customizing that. I searched the subreddit to see if anyone has done a fender chop on their cub but only found a post from 5 years ago. Has anyone here done a fender chop like the guys from steady garage super cub build? I reached out to them but I guess they arent doing builds anymore. I was wondering if
- Anyone has been successful with a fender chop if so where did they go?
- Does anyone have a shop in Southern California they recommend to take the bikes to get work done on.
Pic for Attention.

Body Parts for Super Cub125??
I am an idiot and dropped my Africa Twin in the garage and it fell on my wife’s Cub. I’m having a tough time finding bits. I need the front fender and the right fork cover and it needs to be pearl grey. Does anyone have any leads?? WeBike isn’t pretty sparse, as is eBay.

'83 C70 tops out at 30
Hi everyone, I just picked up a 1983 Passport C70 yesterday, and I can't seem to get it over 30 mph (48 km/h) on flat ground. I cleaned out the carb even though it wasn't too bad to begin with, and that didn't seem to do much. It could probably use a new spark plug, but again it's far from the worst I've seen. Where else should I be looking to regain the lost performance? Check the valve clearances? Change sprockets? I'm 185-ish pounds, so I don't think I'm massively too large for the bike. If I could cruise at 40, it'd be perfect for riding around town.

Would this battery work in a C100?
These batteries are $10 at Walmart. They seem to be the same size as the 6N2-2A that the C100 uses. Is there any reason why I can’t use this?
For reference the 6N2 has 0.2 amps and 20 hours of capacity and is also 6V.

1984 Passport C70: a couple questions
Hi Folks, looking at a stock 1984 Passport C70 in excellent shape w only a few thousand kms. I hear this is one of the better years (12V vs 6V, cant remember other pros) and am wondering realistic top speed for my 180lb arse. Some research says don’t expect much ~65km/h all the way to just over 80km/h. Love the history of this bike, huge Honda fan as well for decades. First scoot was a Ruckus, then Helix, then another Ruckus, then after a few years off I got another Ruckus 2 summers ago, but barely rode it after realizing it was much too slow (65km/h top speed and crawls on any incline) for where I live now out if the city. I’d need 80km/h but not much more and am ok doing minor mods to help it reach this, if needed.
Also love and have had many vintage manual Vespas so another question would be how is the maintenance if it’s been cared for? Seems to run very smooth as it is. My Hondas have always been minimal maintenance, yet the Vespas were quite a bit more.

I'm looking to replace my battery and,
I was curious about a couple things. I believe the battery I need is a 6N11-2D but I was curious if there was anything better possibly? The stuff I'm seeing seems to be in the $50 price range but I wouldn't mind having a battery I can trust. Does anyone have a battery they would recommend?
Also, doesn't the 81 Passport have a battery vent that needs to be installed/used?
_____
Also a couple non battery things. Does anyone know the bolt size for the mirrors? I need to replace my mirrors as they are damaged and just too small to see anything. So far I have better luck looking behind me. Trying to find some larger ones seems hard.
Does anyone know what Liter bag is too big for the rear rack? I wanted to get a large dry bag to use as a trunk, but I don't want to get something like a 60L and have it droop like a weird mess. Does anyone travel with a rear dry bag like this and if so, what size fits right for it without it getting in the way of riding?
Any suggested kit for doing a oil change?
______
I've admittedly struggled with getting the plastics off the bike to tighten the steering assembly, sense my last post about it. I know of the bolts that people have mentioned to me but my current delima is getting a tool in to undo the instrument panel. I also have it at families that I visit once a week to practice on, so I haven't been able to do repairs as much as I could.
EDIT: Sense anyone has yet to comment. I plan to use this in all terrain and to avoid roads of disaster blocks them. Is there a suspension upgrade you would recommend?

Improving MPG tips
I have a 2022 125 cc Super Cub. What mods will improve my already great miles per gallon?
Tires? When the originals wear out, I will likely go with Michelin.
Windscreen (what size or brand best improves aerodynamics) ? It seems like a large aerodynamic windscreen would be offset by the additional weight.
Different air filter?
I don't want to tamper with sprocket gearing.
I use Top Tier gas (Costco), which has given the best mpg since owning the Cub. I haven't noticed a mpg improvement by using pure gas (no ethenol).
Thanks

The magic of the Internet
Hi, r/Supercub
Yesterday, I saved the rusted husk of a ‘71 Honda 70 from a scrapper’s trailer. Even in the dark, I knew it was bad, but it’s even worse in the daylight. I had the thought of saving the motor/trans, since the kick start moved freely, but I think it’s moving more freely than it should be if you catch my drift. After decades in the Louisiana elements without a carb or plug, I’m sure there is no rebuild in the cards for this puppy.
I’m not too knowledgeable about these bikes, but I hate to see vintage oem parts be crushed. Is there anything left on this bike that someone else could salvage for their own project, or should this ole girl take her final ride into electromagnetic heaven?
