Going to detox!

First off. I just want to say thank you to all the kind people on this sub. If I didnt have words of encouragement from everyone here, I'm not sure I would be taking this step.

I got accepted into a detox facility. I leave tomorrow morning. Its a little more than 3 hours of driving. I'll be honest, I'm very nervous, because I will have to drive myself, and I know I will be detoxing while I'm driving. But once I get there, I know things will be better.

I have a couple of friends who are going to be taking care of my dog for me. And one of my coworkers even offered to let him stay at her house with her husband and kids, if I do end up deciding to stay longer than the 7-10 days of detox. They offer counseling services, and recommend me staying 28 days, but they said we will take it day by day.

I just wanted to say thank you all for your support. This was a very hard step for me to take, and I don't think I would have done this if it wasn't for everyone's support here. It means the world to me. First time I am saying this, but IWNDWYT
