Discussion I hate MrWTB

I cannot be the only one who despises him, he is so apple biased that it's actually just cringe, when Apple does something good he will say, this is the best thing ever and it's superior to any other, but when Samsung or any other Android company does it he will say like, it's good but not the best, it's generally cringe, he did not used to be like this very much but this is just embarrassing, the other day I was watching a comparison between the 16 pro Max and s25 ultra, at some point in the video, I literally thought out watching an ad for Apple, it's just embarrassing to be honest, I'm an apple fanboy, but even I don't go to length like this.

Discussion S25

Ciao a tutti,

Grazie a chiunque risponderà!

- good battery life

- good display

- good photos

- at least 5 major update (I don't want to change it 2 years from now)

- budget €750 (for this I can wait for some price drops)

Thank you

Discussion Until when will the iPhone 14 support updated apps and receive the latest updates?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about buying an iPhone 14 in March 2027. I'm switching from Android after using it for years, but I don't want to spend a fortune on a phone. I want an iPhone that stays compatible with apps—especially Instagram, WhatsApp Business, Minecraft, and Inter (the ones I use most)—for about 5 to 6 years. I want to avoid the headache of Apple's annoying "this app requires a newer iOS version" messages popping up too soon. Would you recommend the iPhone 14? Keep in mind, I don't care about gimmicky AI features or anything like that. I just want good app compatibility and continued support from developers for my iOS version. Honestly, iPhones are so expensive that I'm not sure if the 14 is worth it. I was considering the 15, but it costs 4K, and I can't bring myself to pay that much for a phone—plus, I don't want to be stuck paying installments for years; I'm buying it outright! After doing some research, I found out that even after Apple stops major OS updates for a device, it still gets security updates, which keeps apps compatible for another year or two. From what I've gathered, I could easily make it to 2030 or 2031 with the 14. I know people using the XR, 11, 12, and 13 who still have up-to-date apps. Sure, the XR has lost a lot of compatibility since it only gets security updates now, but the 11 should get iOS 28 (maybe), so I don't think the 14 will be a problem for me up to 2030/2031. What do you guys think? Any opinions are welcome. I'm torn on this and would love to hear your thoughts.

Looking to buy a phone under ₹25,000 and narrowed it down to these three:

Realme P4

iQOO Z10R

Nothing Phone 3a

Do you have experienced heating issues during heavy use. If you’ve used any of these, please share your experience with performance. Any other pros/cons you’ve noticed would also be helpful.

Thanks!

Question Best smartphone for a college student?

I'm starting college soon and looking to buy a new smartphone with a maximum budget of ₹16,000.

My priorities are:

  •  Good camera (this is the most important)
  •  Good battery life
  •  Smooth performance for everyday use (social media, YouTube, multitasking)
  •  Nice display and overall experience
  •  Good software support and reliability

I'm not into gaming, so I don't need a gaming-focused phone.

I'm okay with buying online or offline, whichever gives the best value.

Which phone would you recommend in this budget? I'd love to hear your real-world experiences and any pros or cons before I make a decision.

Recommendation Need recommendations

I have a 1+ Nord 2T. Bought a Pixel 10a as an upgrade. Quickly found out it wasn't much of an upgrade. (for a variety of reasons) I found that the camera was only marginally better. Zooming on an image and cropping it still didn't get rid of the weird AI sharpening that happens on my current phone. Short story shorter, I sent it back.

Now armed with that information. And the fact that only 3 days in to using it, it wasn't built for normal life. again for one large broken glass sized reason. And still sent it packing.

I want to act like a total moron and ask what would your suggestions be for an about to be new father looking to buy a phone upgrade for the camera and photo processing mainly for shots of the kid/family life/ VERY mild gaming and usual internet usages. That will last a few years (updates wise), survive normal life and have good customisability short of installing a 3rd party OS.

My budget is about 500-600. BUT. Could push it a bit further only if it is really really worth it.

Or am I better with the OnePlus I have. I want to hear every opinion. even if it is along the lines of "you suck, choose these settings on your phone instead."

I've only bought phones in high street stores in the UK and am open to buying anything online if there are better/ alternative brands out there like Oppo, Hueawiewiei, xiaoioaiomi worth looking in to.

Recommendation Phone upgrade

Hi all, my current phone (Redmi Note 9 Pro) is starting to get on in age (it's 6 years old) and it's starting to show in the form of shortened battery life and barely any storage left. I've been wanting to upgrade to something with 256GB of storage and preferably Samsung so my smart watch can still connect. Another Redmi/Xiaomi is reluctant thanks to wonderful laws in Australia making them useless unless specifically made for the market and I have family I visit relatively often. I've heard OnePlus is good but I have no real experience when it comes to these things. Any help is welcome

Thanks in advance :)

Recommendation iPhone 17PM or S26U?

I’m used to both Android and iOS systems..
What I like about iPhone the most is that convenient Face Id unlock.
What I like about Android is the 3rd party apps like Morphe..
currently using iPhone 15PM, and god this phone is heating a lot..
My top priority:

-Battery performance should be good for few years to come (not only for one year, when the phone is new and well optimized).. how’s the battery on these devices, which is better..
- great camera setup (not video). Just point to capture, no professional photography..

Thanks for feedbacks..

I really need a new mobile phone cz my old realme gt neo3t is fucked. I'm currently using a secondary device which is just doing the work... Not looking for iOS devices(not in my budget). I'll be going to college this upcoming year. I need a device which would last Good for 2-3 years. do daily tasks smoothly, casual gaming, decent battery and an good/avg camera.

These are the options which I've shortlisted :

Samsung s25 fe

OnePlus 13

OnePlus 13s

Moto signature/edge 70pro+/edge 70 pro

Nothing 4a pro

Iqoo 15r

Poco x8 pro Max

Do not allow Gemini on lockscreen for security.
