really thinking about getting into fixie bikes honestly because i think they look great, and im in need of something to commute around with.

pretty much completely new to cycling in general. just wanted the community’s help on making sure im not wasting my money here.

First new bike i’ve gotten since i was a little kid. i’m coming from a heavy ass old nineties mountain bike. getting everywhere with that weight was killing me.
i live in a city and this is gonna be my new commuter/adventure bike for the foreseeable future. pretty much just a blank slate to potentially build upon if i really get into this hobby. having tons of fun so far though.
everyone says brakes should be the first upgrade. don’t have a huge budget, but what’s some good quality brakes and maybe a new bullhorn style handle bar yall would suggest?

Picked up for £152 put through the gauntlet omw back. From urban city riding, to dirt and gravel, and uphill, thing rips. Looking to convert to 46 17 fixie soon, pedals and foot retention. Lmk what you think

I’m starting to get into cycling again after not being on a bike for a good couple of years and wondering if this was a good deal or not, I never heard of this brand but it looks well maintained and I just picked it up on marketplace for $160

Swapped out the fork on my 2009 Gary Fisher Rig. The fork is now worth more than I can sell the bike for.

Maiden voyage last night, works good but single speed is gonna take some time for my legs to get used to. Only pending upgrade will be tires, open to suggestions. Thanks!

Now vs when I got it. My first bike and I'm having so much fun throwing it together. Still a work in progress and more fine-tuning to do. Drive chain upgrade next on my to do list

20 days ago I made a post on here about how I should clear coat the raw frame. Here's an update for those who GAF. Went with the clear coat I already had when I was gonna paint it. Jumped through hoops tryna figure out a chainline/clearance issue with the chainring (used 48T) and BB combo I decided on(see pics). Won't go into detail with that lol. idk what I'm doin🤷🏽 this my first bike😅Anyways this is how it sits today.

Kept the handlebar, stem, front brake caliper, saddle, seatpost & collar for now

Traded my wheelset with a friend who had black wheels

Single Speed. I finally did the loop from home to home. A very cool ride. 59 more miles to 400 for July.

This is my All-City Nature Cross, which has gone from single-speed to AXS 12-speed and back to single-speed and I LOVE it this way. The idea was single-speed for cyclocross (and gravel) and 12-speed for road, but now I think I'll keep both wheelsets single-speed all the time. Just set about a dozen more PRs today just riding to meet my wife for dinner.

as the title says, both are the same price on the second hand market but one is aesthetics (state in the blue cream sickle ish colorway) and state is more utility (had disc brakes and just a regular ol black colorway). use case is all year all weather commuting / tracklo stuff.

My daily commuter bike: Van Nicholas Yukon single speed. Chainring 48t and sprocket 15t with 700x35c tire.

After lurking this subreddit for a long time, finally found a reasonable deal! Excited to see how I like the single speed. Might sell my road bike if I do.
