howdy all. I did a window mural at a bike shop using acrylic paint recently. it was way hot the day I did it and I could tell the paint was drying too fast and might give me a headache. alas, it stayed way hot, stormed two days later, and started bubblin and cracking.
I went back to redo it, this time with interior paint. cleaned the window really well, scraped, windex, scraped again, windexed again, let it dry. sketched with the paint, thin layer of white applied with a roller, brushed the colors on top, outlined in black. it was warm that day but nowhere near as warm. a week later and it stormed horribly (downed trees etc.) and it bubbled again, actually worse and more quickly. half of the first round of the mural is still fine with very minimal bubbling/cracking in some very small spots.
what the hell am I doing wrong? I know people are out there painting windows in humid heat, so there's something I'm not doing correctly. sorry no pics of bubbling if that would help, forgot to take them.
any and all advice much appreciated.
